The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They had helpful local knowledge and they booked us a lovely Wine tour. Our only regret is we didnt stay a few days longer.

Amazing place, heaven on earth. Breakfast is ok. Bread was not that good, but it is hard to find good one in hotels in Italy. Good choices for dinner although the restaurant is not the best in the region, but nice if you want to stay in (restaurant rate 7.5/10).
Amazing spa (indoor heated pool), amazing massages.
You must take a day or two just to enjoy the pool and relax on the premises.

Breakfast was great. Lots of selection, plus they cooked our favorite eggs and bacon. There are simply many delightful people working at Volpaia, not just for breakfast, but everywhere including front office, all of the 4 restaurants, wine tours, maid service. There is a genuine outpouring of care for the guests. We made friends with all of the employees. We loved our 6 days and we will be returning. The word panorama was created for Tuscany, with glorious views every direction.
We look forward to returning, Jim & Loan

Radda was such an enchanting little town with the most amazing views of the Tuscan countryside. Great restaurants and lots of wonderful little shops to browse in and close to 300 wineries within a 20 minute drive. The Spa at Vignavecchia was absolutely wonderful and the underground thermal pool at palazzo Leopoldo was divine!

It’s such a gorgeous area to explore.
It’s such a gorgeous area to explore. Lots of ancient villages, wineries and stunning scenery! I love Castello di Volpaia. This village has beautiful affordable rooms and apartments and a winery all within its walls. It’s small and unique with four great places to eat.

. Small compact village, with nice array of shops, noticeably helpful shop owners. Plenty of restaurants, particularly given the small village size. Close to rail (about 20 km) which makes it easy to get into Florence.
Close to places like San Giminiano and Siena.

Stefano the general manager was outstanding in his customer service- he even drove me to the town of Radda to shop & enjoy the sites - Dimitsia (not sure I’m spelling that correctly)but she was an angel & helped me in numerous ways- the head waiter & staff Andrea & Veronica were awesome every time I had dinner there - the breakfasts were quite varied and had both the bacon I adore & the yogurt & fruit I needed - it really was a sumptuous spread & Francesca & her crew were wonderful- just an all-Around fabulous place to hang your hat for a week or even a weekend!! Thanks to all of you for making my stay wonderful - many thanks!

Radda is a postcard village for the Chianti region perched on a hilltop with great views. We visited about 15 years ago, and it seems as though it has become ever more touristy and the entire town is one big tourist stop which lacks the authenticity that it may once have been. It's lovely, but almost too lovely and manufactured.

The kitchen has all the necessary utensils. It was hot outside and the apartment was hot - the windmills helped a little. Breakfasts are sweet, but there's a shop nearby. A surprise for us was the Pizza Hot Bar located near the apartment, where you can eat very good Tuscan dishes, not only pizza. We did not meet the owner, her cousin introduced us to the apartment. Thank you for the wine as a welcome. The Chianti region did not impress us, but we recommend Radda in Chianti - it is a charming medieval small town.
This was our fourth accommodation on this trip and we had been very happy with each one. However, Hotel il Borgo di Vescine was on another level altogether.
This was perfection. Presenting itself as a village where guests come together is exactly how it felt. From the guest houses that tumbled down the hill to the pristine pool with panoramic views, to the cozy bar with greenhouse option, to the fabulous restaurant. All was as promised. Kudos to Director Stefano. None of this would happen without him.
We had a gorgeous large 2-bedroom with incredibly beautiful views of the Tuscan landscape. We stayed in the building across the street from the main hotel. Hotel was elegant and well tended to. We enjoyed the beautiful pool with loungers and the amazing breakfast on the terrace overlooking the countryside. The staff were very friendly! The village of Radda is very quaint and just what we wanted for a holiday.
The hotel is beautiful - the scenery is gorgeous and there are so many lovely little secluded seating areas. The hotel never felt busy and it was easy to get time on our own. The pool was stunning - not heated but we needed to be refreshed. Lovely seating areas. A few people had complained about the insects but you are so close to nature that of course there will be some, but come prepared with bug spray.
Great location, beautiful house and Christina is a very friendly and lively host who will interact with you and make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. The place lies in an old vinyard and is therefore very quiet and a good place to relax. The region around it is wonderful with a beautiful landscape and many beautiful Tuscan towns to visit. The wine produced on-site is also very good.
This is a very special place. It’s high in the hills in Chianti. It’s a beautiful country hotel. The view is exceptional. The pool area is lovely. There is a small village near by which has excellent restaurants and the local winery is top tier. Best of all - the proprietor of the Hotel - Guido is so charming and gracious.
best place we stayed in our entire trip to Italy! The rooms were immaculately clean, the pool was beautiful and much larger than we thought and SO clean surrounded by vineyards! We were given awesome recommendations for wineries and restaurants to try nearby. absolutely loved it.
this is the perfect place for vacation. the hotel is gorgeous and has nice view. you can enjoy bird singing and fresh air and sun every morning. I stayed with my husband for anniversary and it was the perfect choice ever. I definitely come back here with my family
Cleanliness of the room (especially the bathroom) and kindness of the employees was perfect. Location of the hotel is very central (in the historical city center). Variety at the breakfast (especially tomato, cucumber and olive) were absolutely good.
We can’t recommend this hotel enough. Everything was amazing. The hotel is gorgeous with amazing views. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The food was also excellent in both restaurants.
Our stay was just perfect!! Guido is the most amazing host, breakfast is super nice, the rooms are big and super clean, the view from the hotel and the pool is just magic. Will come back here for sure!!
Charming hotel in the centre of Radda. We come back every year as it is truly a special place. The breakfast in the square every morning is relaxing. The outdoor jacuzzi and indoor pools are lovely.
The hotel was extremely nice and well presented with nice decor and a very comfortable room and bed. The breakfast was very nice with everything one could want. The location was excellent.
perfect location in the Tuscan hills outside of Radda in Chianti. Lots of character and genuine experience. Amazing breakfast. beautiful grounds and breathtaking views.
Loved my stay! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is so welcoming. The restaurant for dinner was amazing, and the views at the property are beautiful!
