Labuan Bajo is a port harbor with its main attraction, the Komodo Dragon. There are day tours that you can take: Komodo Island with five other stops and Rinca Island with 3 other stops. The harbor master closed Komodo Island for 7 days due to weather but Rinca Island was open. The snorkeling is phenomenal with purple, green coral that look like cauliflower and broccoli florets with many colorful fish. There is no need to book tours ahead. You can walk down to the dock area and book with any of the vendors selling packages. Even the LBJ airport has tours available.
We rented scooters to visit Rangko Cave and nearby Batu Cermin cave. The ride is beautiful and scenic. There is lots of seafood in this port town ranging from sea and lake fish, lobster, crab and squid.
Labuan is worth a three day visit.

I love it here.
I love it here. The people are so friendly, the food is very good, and the scenery is beautiful. You can book many trips, overland or to other islands, and of course see the Komodo dragon.
There are some beautiful beaches too.
I will come back again!

Great area, but the main attraction is the boat trips to visit the surrounding islands, beaches and Komodo dragons. We booked a 2d1n boat trip. We fitted in lots to this short itinerary but a extra night in the boat, as opposed to the land, would have been better.
Seemed more to do at the opposite side of the island but its too far for a day trip.
Great night market down by the port and lots of fresh fish and fruit available for sale.

It’s rare I’m writing reviews. So far, I shared only 5-6. I’m writing only if it was exceptionally amazing experience or a real disaster…
It’s the first time for me to share an extremely negative experience.
When you arrive at hotel, you expect me to feel minimum trust with it
I stayed for 2 nights in this budget hotel. Usually, people traveling to Flores Island to take one of the ‘Komodo island day trips’. They will be picked up very early in the morning (5:30-6:00am). The trip operator gives clear instructions of how to prepare? what to bring? Ect.
Due to the intensity of the day structure, the traveler has to bring a breakfast box (because it will be very long, before food can be in reach).
I asked the hotel manager if they can provide it to me? She confirmed, mentioning it’s a usual procedure in that area.
5:15 I arrived at the reception… no one was there. Neither the breakfast box.
Things can happen, it’s not a big deal…
When returning back from the day trip, I asked reception to shortly talk with the hotel manager, just to understand what happened? The hotel manager refused to communicate and just disappeared until I departed the next day.
I’ve never experienced before such a behavior, specially from a hotel manager…
It raised a big big Red Flag.
Bottom line: I’ll not recommend to arrive in this hotel. Basically, It’s not to be trusted.

Labuan Bajo needs to be careful with how many resorts they are throwing up all over the place. And educate everyone to stay away form the coral and do not touch the sea life. Float and observe. No fins necessary most of the time. You can float and see more and not damage the coral with big clumsy fins.

For those who love nature, I'm really recommend especially to the Island. Everything was soo nature and nice scenery. Spend at least 3 days as to ensure the place must be visited is captured. Local are soo friendly and helpfull. Don't forget to try snorkerlling if thats a trial for anyone.
One of the cleanest places we have stayed at in the whole of Indonesia, the standard is what you expect in Europe , very modern rooms and bathroom , cleaned daily, the staff super helpful, let us store luggage the night before while we went on a road trip and organized our trip to Komodo island cheaper than doing it directly.
Good hot shower and comfortable bed and great aircon.
Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here as we looked at several around Labuan bajo and this was far better than anything we saw for the price
A really lovely hotel with old-school banana pancake trail vibes. Basic and clean rooms for a very reasonable price. The view from the pool is one of the best sunsets in Labuan Bajo—strongly recommend lounging in the pool with a Bintang at sunset. If you’re looking for a comfortable, quiet base for land trips or a few days of day-trip diving that is perfect for evening relaxation, this is a great pick! Asking about a motorbike rental makes it very convenient to town.
Initially I was booked for 2 nights but as we really enjoyed our stay then we decided to extend another 2 days. The luxury villa, the bathroom, the food and all hotel facilities are free of charge ( kayak with glass bottom and snorkle are my fav activities) and of course warmest welcome fm all the resort staffs which assist you in everything you need. Well done for Plataran Komodo and big thanks to Sakti, Neta and Willost for making our holiday enjoyable.
Fabulous place to stay in Labuan Bajo. The room has incredible sea views. The hotel is very quiet and the surroundings are beautiful. Clean room, comfy beds and well-equipped bathroom. The wifi works incredibly well. To go to town you can speak to the manager and they will arrange a taxi driver for you. I would totally recommend this place and would love to come back.
The hotel have the best and exclusive view towards Labuan Bajo harbour. It is truly homey and comfortable, with quiet luxury. It is simple, but in everything they do, they done it right. Breakfast was delicious, bed is very comfortable and room is well maintained and clean. The pool is clean and the view is fantastic. What else can you ask for?
Our host Suni was so helpful in providing us with restaurants and tours to see the Komodo dragons and caves. This is a boutique hotel with three rooms. You are lucky to get accommodations. The hotel looks unassuming from the outside but beautiful as you walk down the stairs for beautiful views of the ocean port.
Very nice structure with an amazing view on the Labuan Bajo Bay (from the swimming pool). The position is far from downtown so it' s very quiet. Spacious bungalow (bathroom with an outdoor shower), with all comforts. The hotel has no restaurant but the free shuttle to downtown is a plus.
This place has the best views in Labuan Bajo. From your window and balcony you look directly over the sea. It's magnificent. It's far from anywhere else so you need to hire a car or bike but it's perfect for peaceful relaxation. The restaurant food is OK but a small menu.
Amazing hostel. The best of Labuan Bajo. Social Vibe. Insane views of the bay. Superb restaurant. Incredible pool and rooftop, and nice gym. I cannot recommend this place more. For sure the best place you can stay when you visit Labuan Bajo or Komodo.
The staff were outstanding, they helped us to get the tour in the last minute and provided us with everything we needed! Excellent. Everyone were so nice and hospitable.
View was amazing too. The most affordable star hotel in Labuan Bajo.
Amazing roof top with a view to the Labuan Bajo Port. You can stay just chillin’, drinking and eating in the pool and enjoying in the view.
Clean room and happy staff. We stayed only for 1 day and it was a very good experience.
One of the few place in Labuan Bajo that was reasonably priced. It was centrally located, and the rooms were big and spacious. The included breakfast was excellent and so was the coffee / drinks. Staff were very friendly.
The hotel was lovely and the staff were excellent, they couldn't be more acomodating and polite. Definetly recommend to stay here if you want a quiet, clean place to return to after exploring Labuan Bajo.
If you want to find a budget hotel with a nice view can choose this place
at labuan bajo most of the nice view hotel is quite expensive
Most of the facilities is okay and clean
Good hotel for a short stay in Labuan Bajo! The room was clean and spacious. In general we could sleep well thanks to the comfortable beds and the tranquillity of the place.
Plastics trash needs to be brought back to Labuan Bajo by clients, uses solar panels, very relaxing atmosphere and crystal clear sea for snorkelling and swimming.
Great place a short trip from Labuan Bajo centrée/ Marina
Very good breakfast, clean and lovely dinner
Nice pool and glorious views from the beach at sunset
