The wild flowers in the area were spectacular. Lots of people walking everywhere so we felt very safe. Many places to eat. Only problem a lot of restaurants were closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

What a wonderful town so full of history!
What a wonderful town so full of history! So many interesting stores with historical backgrounds. Definitely visit the Pacific War Museum and go to a reenactment if there's one on that day. Too many great places to eat, drink and shop in.

Downtown Fredericksburg is cute with lots of shops, although most are pricey. Free street parking! Many, many wineries nearby! Lady Bird Park is amazing! We were in town for viewing the solar eclipse, and they treated us like royalty! No charge for admittance. No parking passes needed. Tons of staff available throughout! Permanent restrooms and tons of porta potties. Free eclipse glasses. Food and souvenirs available. The park is big, beautiful, and well-maintained. We were in a car, but there were camping sites too. Surprisingly fast and easy getting out of the park due to folks directing traffic. Kudos to whomever was in charge of Lady Bird Park on April 8, 2024!AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0

All merchants restaurant personal were friendly and polite. Things went well with all reservations. The price for the rental was high dye to the eclipse. Even guides at enchanted Rock were helpful and allowed us in, even though we didn't have reservations.

I thought Main St in Fredericksburg was too expensive. Most of the items we looked at were made in China and overpriced. We were disappointed in the items available and the prices. I would have enjoyed seeing more of the town and learning more about the community.Sordahl

Several cabins on property in back of Mendelbaum winery and we stayed in the Almond cabin that has three double beds for 3-6 people. One bed was hard, one bed was soft and one bed was squeaky. There is a creek back there and a huge grassy area to exercise a big dog, perfect for us. This is a dog friendly property by the way. It’s an old property that is well tended and has a certain charm that feels very comfortable. The best place in Fredericksburg to stay, by far.
