Ravello is a perfect spot in the Amalfi Coast. It is away from the beach and the crowded towns of Amalfi and Positano but has easy access to them via the local bus network and ferries. Other beachside towns (Minori and Maiori) can be walked to with the local buses providing transport back. Being higher, Ravello has stunning views and gets lovely breezes. It is also close to the Valle delle Ferriere walk, hosts Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone and many excellent restaurants and shops. Really a perfect spot to holiday. My favourite restaurant was Le Cucina di Sofi in via Rome - honest simple tasty food, although the Garden Ristorante and Bella Vista sul Mare were also very good. There is a music festival in June each year and while I missed it, I can imagine how good it would be because the ‘stepped’ area of the town is a natural amphitheater.
Be prepared for stairs when visiting the Amalfi coast. The best places to stay involve stairs. Pack as light as possible as buses and ferries and streets are crowded and because of the stairs. I discourage driving the a Amalfi Coast. There is one major road, it is clogged from morning to night and was not built for the sizes of vehicle that use it today so is mayhem. Taxies are very overpriced. I recommend that you use the frequent buses and shuttle services instead.

Ravello is on top of the mountain and not a seaside town...
Ravello is on top of the mountain and not a seaside town like other Amalfi coast towns. There is a nice charm in the town itself. For those that don't rent a car, there is a bus that takes you to Amalfi. There are also paths that take you to Minori and Amalfi, just remember that the elevation of Ravello is at 1000ft, so walking to the other towns will require a walk back up the mountain or the use of a bus or taxi.

There are stairs everywhere, but I knew this. Two beautiful gardens to visit. You need to be fit to stay in Ravello. There are walks around the hills. Good restaurants and a very good small supermarket/deli

Ravello is all about the views, which are incredible. The town itself is small but there are a handful of great restaurants and shops to see. If you are looking to get away from the crowds of Positano and Amalfi, this is the place.

Beautiful place.
Beautiful place. When the day-tourists arrive it becomes a bit crowded. In general it is a tourist place. Souvenir shops with overpriced ceramics and other useless items. There are some nice restaurants.
It is very difficult to get to and from Ravello with public transportation. Taxis in Amalfi charged 100 euro to go to Ravello, pure robbery. The bus takes 1½ hours from Amalfi and doesn't go often. You can walk down to Minori and Amalfi. Takes 45-60 minutes depending on fitness level. Walking up is also possible, but quite hard for the average person.

Villa Barluzzi is located close to the square with amazing...
Villa Barluzzi is located close to the square with amazing views, stunning grounds and beautiful rooms. More like a bed and breakfast, Salvatore the manager is the absolute best! He contacted us before we arrived to give some details and welcome us, took the information of our car service and was in touch with the driver while we were on route. He saw that we had everything we could possibly need. Showed us around the Villa property, brought us up to the square, to show us around and just made us feel like family. I highly recommend this beautiful place! We can’t wait to return and will definitely be staying here again.
We were greeted by the lovely and friendly manager who showed us around and to our gorgeous room. The place was modern, stylish and the bed was very comfortable. The location could not be better, right off the main square, just private enough to be quiet but central enough to get to all the main attractions and restaurants on foot very easily. We would 100% stay again! Ravello itself was our favourite destination on the Amalfi Coast and we would highly recommend Mimi's pizza - the best pizza we've ever eaten!
Such an amazing stay at Hotel Giordano, wish we could have had longer. Large clean and beautifully decorated rooms with all amenities and lovely little terrace with a view of the hills. Modern and boutique designer feel. Exceptional breakfast options, best we had in Italy. Delicious hot options including eggs, bacon, really good fruit and pastries. Excellent tea varieties. The pool is amazing, large and clean with ability to have drinks brought to your chair. All tucked into the beautiful village of Ravello.
Simona House was very clean and spacious with a large well appointed kitchen and separate lounge room in a private courtyard. It is in an amazing position two minutes walk into the township. It is situated on a beautiful street across the road from the elegant 5 star hotels. Simona was extremely attentive and generous and meet us promptly on arriving and leaving. Parking is available if you pre-book it with Simona at a secure parking lot. We loved our stay at Simona House and highly recommend it.
Breathtaking views from the room, free parking was super convenient and breakfast was one of the best we had in Italy. Don't expect a typical and very rich mediterranean breakfast you would see in countries like Türkiye where you would have a variety of cheeses and olives and jams and jellies and breads and eggs and proteins and tomatoes and cucumbers and vegetables and several diet options, but the breakfast in this hotel was definitely one of the best compared to other hotels we stayed in Italy.
Location was ideal. We stayed at Della Marra as we were at the Church for family wedding very convenient. 1 min walk to the best view of Ravello, the Ravello Square, and the cafe's.
We rented two bedrooms with two baths. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, beds were super comfortable. Best sleep ever. The owner was exceptionaly sweet and helpful.
Stay included with Italian breakfast that can be enjoyed eating at the Terrance.
Good bang for your buck.
Amazing view from our balcony and the dining room. The food in the restaurant was exquisite, best steak and pasta I've ever tasted. Great location with a very short walk to the piazza. Parking in Italy is expensive and very difficult but this hotel made it easy. Our beds were very comfy and I slept like a log. Receptionist guided us by phone at one point when the road to Amalfi was closed and we were lost. We loved Ravello and the hotel.
This hotel took their COVID cleanliness seriously and we felt very safe here. The location is great and close to the Ravello town (easy 10 minute walk, they also offer a shuttle). All of the staff members were incredibly helpful whether it was arranging taxis, providing recommendations or assisting us with breakfast. Rooms were larger than expected and very quiet with jaw dropping views. The pool area was great as well!
It is very cozy place in Ravello. We decided to stay in Ravello for several days and have a day trip to Amalfi Coast. It was the best decision. Ravello was very quiet and much less crowded that other towns in Amalfi Coast. Hotel itself is very nice and lovely. Host was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was better that other B&Bs in Italy. Room was very comfortable and clean. They were cleaning it everyday.
Such a wonderful location! The room is quite simple (studio with sea view) but we liked so much the placement (in the downtown of Ravello) and at the same time it is very quiet and peaceful. The Villa is next to the historical Villa Rufolo and the Rufolo hotel with a good terrace for quiet lunches out of tourists. Breathtaking view from any corner of villa, wonderful pool. We will definitely come back)
The breakfast, hot tub and location are amazing if you want a relaxing few days for a couple or someone on their own. We arrived on the wrong day (luckily in low season) but the owner was very accomidating and we ending up staying an extra day we loved it so much. We have been to Italy a few times and this is definitely the best breakfast we have ever had in Italy, North or South.
The property was at walking distances from all the famous places of Ravello. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is made in an old fort kind of place which makes it even more romantic.Absolutely loved the place.
Sabina was the perfect host we could ever ask. She was super kind and helpful all the time. Definitely recommend this to everyone who plans a trip to Ravello.
Giusseppi was a wonderful host. The location was absolutely perfect since we were bouncing between Palazzo Avino and Palazzo Confalone for wedding venue preperations. We had a couple requests for extra towels and a new hair blowdryer and Giusseppi was super quick and responsive to offer assistance. Would highly reccommend booking this B&B for your next stay in Ravello!
Highly recommended accomodation for visiting Amalfi Coast. Guido is an exceptional host , who are listening to guests and tryuing to provide high-class experience. If you are going to Ravello/Amalfi, this hotel is an excellent choice. Hotel also provides such an experience as cooking class, which is unique experience as well. 10 from 10, we will return here again!
Fabulous location with incredible views of the Amalfi coast. Friendly, warm, helpful staff. Nice restaurant for dinner, good breakfast options. This a gem of a hotel and very good value for money in Ravello. Cool 1960s history too. It’s not super fancy or luxurious but is family run charm at its best.
We loved it here. Like travel from another era.
This is a sweet B&B located just outside of Ravello centre. The room is bright and clean, loved the bathroom although the water pressure was a little low. The breakfast is as you would expect, simple continental. It is the views that make this B&B so lovely and there was talk about a new pool being built this year which will transform this hotel!
Claudia is very friendly and offers great Knowledge on things to see, places to eat and Even helps with local contacts for activities. We will definitly Come back to her place. Also their breakfast is unparralled by Even the most luxerous hotels we stayed at in italy.
This was probably one of the best places we stayed in during our 3 week stay in Italy . Danielle is a great and responsive host who can assist with almost anything . The apartment was spotlessly clean, well located had an outstanding view .
Ravello itself is in a wonderful location in some ways, high up overlooking the sea, and the hotel took advantage of this. In other ways it is inconvenient, as long, very winding narrow road to get down to anywhere else. Breakfast was good.
The breakfast and selection of meats and cheeses was exceptional. Incredibly gracious hosts in a location that offers some of the best views of Ravello and the Amalfi coast. The hotel is approximately half a mile from the Ravello square.
