Wonderful holiday town. Easy to get around.
Wonderful holiday town. Easy to get around. Lots to do and see in and around Plettenberg Bay. Be careful whe choosing accommodation. Booking.com asked our arrival time at our accommodation booked which we said will be between 16h00 and 17h00. We had the option to pay on arrival. For security we gave our credit card number on booking.com. However...our host put the payment through at 14h00 when we were stil in Knysna. Our host added an additional fee to our booking. Our host had his own reasons for charging the additional fee. We arrived in time. Will not recommend The Green Palm Cottage

Our family's time in Plettenberg Bay was truly unforgettable. The town's central location made exploring the area a breeze, with convenient access to local amenities like grocery stores and the stunning nearby beaches. We were thrilled to discover attractions such as the Knysna Elephant Park and Adventure Land, just a short drive away, adding excitement to our vacation. However, one thing to note is that there are limited halaal food options in the area, which posed a challenge for us. Nonetheless, after our adventures, returning to our cozy retreat provided the perfect opportunity to relax and recharge. The warm hospitality of the locals further enhanced our experience, leaving us with cherished memories of our time in Plettenberg Bay. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation on South Africa's beautiful coastline.

The highlight of our visit was our walk on the Robberg Peninsular - stunning scenery, seals and other wildlife (lizards etc). Make sure if you do the walk that you take plenty of water with you, wear proper walking shoes (flip flops just won't cut it) and be aware that in some places there are climbs that are quite challenging.

We rented two rooms at Dolphin Circle. We absolutely loved our stay! The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed an evening of playing pool and backgammon in the common area. The host was incredible! We were traveling with a vegan and a person with celiac disease and she made delicious breakfasts to accommodate their restrictions. The breakfasts were some of the best I’ve had at a bed and breakfast. It was walking distance to restaurants and cafes. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area!
Location was good. The room allocated and paid for was substandard
The seaview room was booked and it did not fullfilled what was advertised. The rates charged were absorbent ridiculous. In conclusion the room accommodation should be rated between a 2 and 3 star. Very disappointing. It was misleading advertising. For this reason we had to book out into a proper full 5 star hotel. What the hotel sees as a suite room is actually a standard room.
Em and Mike were lovely. They were always checking in to make sure everything was going well and giving me recommendations on where to go and what to see - trust their recommendations. They even took me to a nice spot on the beach for dinner one night which felt like family. I felt very safe in this little neighborhood and was close to everything I needed. Plett was my favorite stop on the garden route and was so glad I stayed here.
The staff!
Lucia was a really sweet and kind receptionist. She showed me the hostel and suggested where to go and visit Plettenberg Bay.
Irma was the taxi driver who could drive me around and give me a bit of taste of the city with my short visit.
And let's not forget the professional barista! He makes the best coffee ever! Don't forget to order one ;)
The views and surrounding areas. The attention to detail within the home was amazing. From the small chocolate next to our beds to the amazing muffins; yogurt and jam left for us on arrival as a pleasant surprise from the owner. We enjoyed every second. Plenty to do in the area.. must see is the "look out"restaurant on the beach and Beacon Island Hotel.
A high end property with everything we needed for a fabulous stay. Beds super comfortable, view and balcony and open living area to die for. So glad we opted for here and not the hotel 5 mins down the beach. We also had a lovely lady come and clean and do our laundry too.
Lovely small luxury hotel with spacious rooms.
Great view over the sea and bay and easy access to the beach
Lovely beach look and design in the rooms, restaurant and outside areas
Very good breakfast and service
Good spot to explore the area around Plett.
It had everything we needed. Perfect for self catering. Supplied linen, towels, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets etc. You only need to pack your clothes and food. We enjoyed our stay!!
It’s a beautiful hotel, superclean with super friendly staff. The pictures aren’t half as beautiful as the hotel is in reality.
Thank you for an extremely nice stay at Bayview hotel!
Beautiful hotel with a gorgeous garden and pool area, great restaurant and very kind staff! We felt very welcome and greatly enjoyed our dinner and breakfast! Definitely worth visit!
