We spent two nights in this convenient hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was ample and I appreciated the notes about the local-ness of the food items. The mini-museums on each floor were terrific and the staff and ownership evidently took great pride in their collection!

The service staff at reception and breakfast area are friendly and always greet u with their brightest smile. The public bath for guests was simple and small but enjoyable. The breakfast was wonderful and there were change to the dishes provided every day. We love the Japanese rice section which had an instruction to make our bowl of Japanese rice.

I had the impression it was just a room. I was so surprised there's a kitchenette (there aren't any cooking utensils but there's no stopping you from bringing cooking utensils I guess) and even a laundry machine inside the room. They even provide soap and coat deodoriser which are little touches that are very thoughtful of them/anticipates the needs of the guest.

I chose Okayama as a destination because I wanted to see Korakuen Gardens rated as one of 3 best in Japan.
I also wanted to see Naoshima Art Island and it made a good day trip.
The Kibitsu-jinja Shinto Temple was a fantastic complex. And out in the country a bit so peaceful. Another good day trip.
The local Art Gallery had a good exhibition on and the Castle was one of the best I've seen.
The town is just a good size. All conveniences without the Osaka scramble.

Bustling and thriving, really cool underground mall / restaurant alley next to the JR Okiyama station. Many dining options in that vacinity. I was only in town for eighteen hours, barely saw anything but had a nice visit on my way to the ultimate destination.

Very beautiful and underrated area of Japan. All the sights were lovely and it’s a good area if you’re interested in history, and leisure outdoor activities. I’d recommend really planning out your time since the transportation isn’t as frequent as Tokyo and lots of places close pretty early around 5/6pm.

There were beautiful gardens in the city including the wonderful botanic garden. The castle was also interesting. In addition, Okayama is a wonderful place to stay with day trips to wonderful cities/sites such as Hiroshima, Kurashiki, Naoshima or Himeji Castle.

Besides having a few interesting sightseeing options of its own (castle, Korakuen garden), Okayama is a very convenient place to stop for a few days because it's close to other popular places to visit (Kurashiki) and a gate to visit northeastern Shikoku
A very cool experience to spend a couple of nights in the art house. We originally wanted to stay in the art museum hotel on Naoshima Island, but it was 6 times the price and not available anyway. We somehow found this is an unknown gem, its creation funded by a foundation that brings together artists and architects to increase the presence of Okayama as an art destination. The light and design of this space are unique and interesting and spacious. The bedding was luxurious quality, as were the robes and white night wear and slippers.
I loved the hot baths on the top floor, went every night. Free ice creams, drinks (hot chocolate, coffee, coke, Fanta etc.) it was amazing. Didn’t realise all this was included.
Location was great, in the hun and the city and only 10ish minute walk to the train station.
The location is fantastic, a 5min walk from Okayama station. The staff were helpful, and the womens capsule area was well maintained with all the amenities I needed. The bed was really comfortable and I didn't hear any noise from other patrons.
I wasn’t expecting the hotel to have so many amenities. The onsen was really nice and very much needed after a long day of traveling. I also thought all of the facilities were clean and the capsule room was much bigger than I expected.
One thing I particularly loved about Livemax Hotel Okayama was the excellent location. It was just a short walk away from train stations and several shopping centers, making it incredibly easy to explore the city and nearby areas.
Hotel is located close public transport and the main train station, and within a reasonable walking distance to okayama castle. Room was spacious and had all the basic amenities as well as a good view of the surrounding area.
Hotel was incredibly close to the station, and very close to a large variety of bars and restaurants. It was also about a 20 minute walk from Okayama Castle, which was a nice leisurely stroll straight along from the hotel.
The hotel was really close to the train station and easy to get to. The room was nice, and the bath house was really lovely. Breakfast was busy, but had lots of options and many changed on different days.
Short walking distance from Okayama train station to the hotel. Love that they have complimentary aroma light to give the room a nice fragrance. Great that we can engage the massage service in our room.
Very clean, quiet and comfortable hotel. All amenities available. Central location right at the Okayama train station. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the area. Very friendly and efficient staff.
Very affordable, excellent location quite close to the station and very close to Okayama Castle and Korakuen Park. Staff was very helpful with luggage storage during the day.
Breakfast was a delicious buffet with a view of the whole city! Location was incredible with the hotel essentially attached to the main train station in the city as well!
Close to the station. Large rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. They recommended a great restaurant that was less than 5 minutes away from our hotel.
