Staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Had a situation with the room we booked and was given another room immediately.
The breakfast was amazing, finally some fruits and yoghurt on top of the other typical Moroccan foods. The first time we were offered smt different from all the other places we stayed on our trip.
We arrived late but were still able to have lunch at the Riad which was very convenient as we were exhausted from a long drive.
Staff gave us water bottles on our way out which was very generous as we had just run out.
The hotel is ideally located on the outskirts of the desert, in the heart of the palm grove of Zagora. Come and enjoy an exceptional setting in the shade of palm trees

As a group of 7 people we had the place to ourselves. Lots of parking out the front of the hotel. Our room was huge, bathroom was a good size and even a balcony overlooking the desert.
We asked about dinner and we're offered a tagine for all of us. It was fantastic, lots of flavour and none of us were disappointed.
The next morning we had a phenomenal breakfast, the food just kept coming and it was all really good.

It was a nice re-encounter. We were here for the first time some 30 years ago. The hotel has retained its character and the staff is just as friendly as we remember it. What a pleasant place!
Set in the palm grove of Zagora, the Riad is next to the sand dunes. Riad Tagmadarte Ferme d'Hôte offers double rooms and bungalows.

Excellent value for money. All the extras worked in our room. Aircon, fridge, TV and we had hot water on demand.. A lot of attention had been paid to the ceiling on building. Our patio was screened by vegetation from our neighbours giving us semi private outside space. The area was tranquil. Loads of birdlife. Next to some sand dunes. Food was good and reasonably priced. No one was in your face trying to add extra value to your stay. Best of all secure parking for the motorbike

No decent size shops not even a proper supermarket eg Carrefour. Can be difficult if not speak French or Arabic . Lots of beggars and sad sights like a man scavenging in bins. Dry and hot and dusty. No local bus services . Pedestrian crossings are ignored. Feels like the back of beyond lots of rubbish

Zagora is the gate to the Sahara desert.
Zagora is the gate to the Sahara desert. The village itself has a lot of nice bars, restaurants and hotels, and is the starting point for guided tours in the desert, all or not on a dromedary, all or not with an overnight stay in tent camps, for 1 or more days. Next to that, Zagora has twice a week a very big local market (Wednesday and Sunday) that is a must to experience! Further down the N9 you can find the small town Tamegroute, famous for its artisanal green pottery. Also a must to stop there and see the 7 families at work outside.
Amazing stay at the Dromadaire. It has more of a guest house vibe than a hotel. Spacious apartment with an en suite bathroom, a cute little balcony looking on the main street of Zagora, and a delicious breakfast served in the restaurant downstairs.
The owner mr Mustafa and his son Redwane took real good care of us and gave us excellent tips on things to do and see. We discovered hidden gems in the Kasba and learned so much thanks to mr Mustafa who had such interesting stories to tell.
Highly recommend.

Just an absolute wow hotel. We had our own private bungalow with garden and pool. The surroundings of the property are the highlight , beautiful green gardens with tall date palm trees . The staff is friendly.
We stayed 2 nights and did a small biking trip in the oasis. Visited women run and own carpet cooperative and in the afternoon had time in their hammam.
I highly recommend this hotel!
We visited here last August and fell in love with it and on our return to the UK vowed to return asap. The staff, location, food ( breakfast is beyond sumptuous ) are fabulous and amazingly good value. Zagora is a jump off point for visits to the Sahara and so quite a journey from the major Moroccan cities but knowing your accommodation is going to be this good makes it absolutely worth while.
We stayed in Zagora for two nights before heading to the desert for the new years and it was a very good decision. Karim Sahara is a good place to stay in Zagora and is centrally located. Our host Karim is a well-travelled and hospitable person with whom we had some very good conversations. The breakfast at this place is really worth it, especially on the rooftop in winter morning sun.
Excellent value. Exceptionally spacious room tastefully decorated. Loved the patio and private roof terrace to gaze endlessly at the stars. The gardens were lovely and staying on the fringe of the lush palmery added to our emersion into Zagora. Meals were terrific and convenient. Staff were extremely hospitable and sincere. Housekeeping excellent.
Mohammed and his team made a great job - they are all very friendly and hospitable.
The Hotel is a oasis close the desert for relaxation and wellbeing.
The villa has enough space and an own garten and pool.
The Hotel is run very professional - there are no waiting times - everything worked perfectly!
Many thanks to Mohammed, Hussein and team!
To me this hotel was not a hotel, it was like coming back home to see a long lost family!!! The owner Samir was like a brother, we will seat outside of his hotel door step and chat our way through life. I don't have words to describe my happiness in this place. Will find any excuse to come back to Zagora so I can stay again in this hotel.
Omar, the manager, couldn’t have been more gracious or helpful. We really appreciate his efforts to make our stay as good as possible.
The art gallery is not to be missed, a surprising collection.
We enjoyed a very good dinner and Omar’s hospitality.
This is a good place to stay in Zagora, close to the center but quiet and serene.
This riad is a gem in Zagora. The owner is a very interesting person with a some cool stories to tell the travellers. The staff is very helpful and are ready to go an extra mile. Our AC broke and we were offered a change of suites with no additional charge what really shows how they value their guests. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
I liked the breakfast which was one of the best that I ate in Morocco. The bread was fresh, the eggs were great and I liked the juice and jams. The bed was comfortable. The internet and air conditioner worked fine. The room had a refrigerator that I enjoyed. The staff were kind and friendly. I would return here and recommend.
this is a beautiful hotel in zagora. the grounds and pool are spacious and lovely. The room we stayed in was tastefully decorated and the food in the restaurant was delicious. The staff was attentive and went out of their way to accommodate our timetable.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Very hospitable and helpful hosts, wise decorated room, beautiful garden and fireplace in the evenings made our stop in Zagora unforgettable. Thank you!
Beautiful garden, friendly stuff (not those crazy smiling when you don't know what they really think :) , Silence, best deep sleep in Morocco we had :)
