Fantastic garden to have breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff. They went out of their way to help with non dairy diet. Lots of advice about local facilities and restaurants from the staff.

Aegina Town is a vibrant place full of cafes, restaurants, clothing and tourist shops. There are fruit sellers beside the marina selling the most delicious fresh fruit. It’s easy to visit the rest of the island using the local buses which cost only 2 Euros. A day trip to Ag Marina is highly recommended if you like swimming and sunbathing. The last group of beach umbrellas are free to use. You can buy drinks and food from the restaurant behind. They do beach service. Perdika is a nice day trip, especially if you go to Moni Island as well.
The Temple of Aphaia and Palachora are easily accessed by the local bus service. I enjoyed eating at Dromaki, where I had melt in your mouth, slow cooked lamb.

Aegina is a very pretty town with ferries coming and going all day, every day. Its only 40 mins from Piraeus, but a world away from the city. I visited in off season - November - but the weather was lovely at 23*C. There are plenty of places to eat along the waterfront, and it is an easy place to explore by walking, bus or taxi. You can hire bikes too just opposite the port. I visited the ruins & museum at the end of town; and travelled to other places on the island including the Temple of Aphaia, Agin Marina, and Paliachora. The people are very friendly. I could have easily stayed longer!

I Have grown up in Aegina seen it change and expand but it...
I Have grown up in Aegina seen it change and expand but it still keep a charm about it ,where there used to be little cafes bakeries and all sundries are now well expanded bars. The back street now have a myriad of shops and all you need provision wise, the old fish market survives and is renowned for its fresh fish and restaurants serving the same all the way back to Athens .
It gets now very busy at the weekend as the Atheans flood back from the city .the town prides itself on its impressive ancient history and modern cultural endeavours galleries and festivals . There are not the boys on tour nonsense beer bellies rowdy 'go on down it Dave' ! of other big islands which i have also lived on in Greece. the larger groups are made of the sailing fraternity so you may get a group of 10 Dutch, German or English but they have a different and more respectful etiquette, the bars are very much for Greeks of all ages with the tourist filling the other seats in harmony . it can be noisy as the ferries bring in and take out persons and trade all day ,but it settles again as the ships leave .

Excellent fish, and indeed they cooked their meat really well too.

A higgledy piggledy jumble of small streets with both traditional and modern shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Plenty of scope to wander, too small to get lost in. Pistachios for sale everywhere: ultimately I chose to get mine from Mourtzis at P. Irioti 57, and am very happy I did. Eating: for simple, reasonably priced, fresh and delicious Greek food, and excellent, friendly service I would recommend O ΤΣΙΑΣ (Tsias) along the waterfront. Don't miss the Archeological Museum - it's absolutely fascinating.
I loved staying at the Danae Hotel. I had a beautiful room with sea view and I really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view. The breakfast was good as well and even as a vegan, I found enough options. The rooms are modern and the bathroom was spacious. The staff was super friendly and I really enjoyed staying there and would definitely recommend it. I absolutely loved the beach near the hotel (100m down the road to Aegina) because it was very quiet with a lot of natural shade and cristal clear water.
Excellent breakfast and service! Location and service were great and check in smooth. Building was also beautiful with extra spaces upstairs and roof terrace. Check in was smooth, Niko was very helpful. Felt very safe and clean. Close to the main town and port but the area was quiet and a short walk from beautiful coastline as well. The hotel was great for one night but would have loved to have stayed longer! Lovely and peaceful off season. Don’t forget to check the lounge rooms upstairs!
A lovely hotel run by a beautiful family. Very welcoming and friendly. Always ready to assist. We had a room with a magnificent view of the sea. The beach right at your doorstep along with restaurants and cafes. A few minutes walk to the busy town centre and the Ktel bus next door. Very convenient and easy way to get around the island. We visited some beaches, it stoped in front of Afaid and the monastery. Would definitely stay here again. Perfect location. Thank you.
Very comfortable, family-run hotel. Wonderful location in a quiet part of Aegina town, but still very close to restaurants and shops, and a short walk to the port and the bus station. We had a lovely sea-view from our balcony looking towards the Argolid Peninsula. The Colonna archaeological site and museum was a few minutes’ walk away, and a lovely beach on the other side of the archeological site was less than ten minutes’ walk.
Electra was a beautiful place to stay in Aegina with the most helpful and friendly staff. It has such a nice quiet location but very close to everything. The room was so clean and comfortable. John the host was so kind and also gave us the best restaurant recommendations in town. Fanni was amazing staff and helped us out so much with the luggage and kept the rooms so clean. It was a wonderful stay at the Electra!
The studios are located between Aigina Town and Marathonas Beach. This was very convenient for us, as we were aiming for something quiet yet close to the town. Our hostess, Mrs. Stefanie, is a true hospitality professional, going the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our vacation. We stayed at the blue studio that had an amazing view to the small port across the street. We will definitely come back next year.
Perfect location for easy access to Aegina Town Harbour, local tavernas, shops and archaeological sites, handy for nearby beaches. Christina and George make it their business to help you enjoy your stay. The beds were among the most comfortable of any accommodation we've stayed in. The Fistiki Festival celebrating the pistachio harvest during our stay was an unexpected bonus.
We loved this quaint hotel with a beautiful view from our balcony, gorgeous spacious two bedroom suite. The air conditioning worked very well. The breakfasts were delicious and served in the pretty courtyard. The location is perfect (a couple of minutes walk to the beach, shops, restaurants and port), and the host was wonderful!!! We would LOVE to come back!
Spent one night to see Aegina. Great location. Old town port, shops, restaurants, iconic church, all just a block away. Lovely studio apartment on the first floor overlooking a pretty courtyard. The studio had a kitchenette and washing machine - we did not use these but they would be handy if staying more than one day. Very happy with our choice.
Great location less than 10 min walk to the port and centre of town. There is a view of the archaeological site of Kolonna from the beautiful hotel garden & the slightly wild Kolonna beach is just 5 mins away. Staff were very friendly & helpful, room was clean & comfortable and the breakfast was good.
Ianis, the host who greeted us was very kind and friendly. We felt welcomed and at home while in Aegina. He made food recommendations and told us everything we needed to know about the island.
I would have liked to stay longer but we promise to return. Thank you 😊
The location was understated and gorgeous. Quiet and yet minutes away from the beach and town. The location has true Greek characteristics which adds to the charm. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating. True Greek Filoxenia!
Many thanks!
The apartment was clean, spacious, had everything we needed, and was close enough to town to walk in for lunch and dinner. Our host met us when we arrived and when we left he arranged for the taxi to pick us up.
The location was great. A quick walk into Aegina Town and 5 mins to an amazing beach. Really friendly staff, very welcoming. In fact we were the only people staying there that were not returning visitors!
The hotel is located at the top of the hill, just follow the shoreline from the port get there. Sea views, cool and a short walk down to the sea. The staff is lovely and helpful. Has everything you need.
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The pool was nice and beach was lovely and just 2 minutes walk away. It was only a short walk (10 minutes) to the ferry and town.
The apartment was lovely and quiet yet the location was perfect for Aegina Town, the harbour and the beach. The owner could not have been more helpful. I really enjoyed my stay!
