The amenities for the room included air-conditioning, but we could not use the AC, as the hotel said they only provide it in "summer". I felt a bit cheated, since I had booked the room on this premise. When I requested a fan, I was told that all the fans had already been given to the other guests, and so it was suggested that we open our windows to cool the room. We did so, but it only gave partal relief from the heat. So, this aspect of the stay was certainly disappointing. Also, the toilet is separate and did not have a wash basin, which was quite inconvenient.:(

The location is perfect. 2 minute walk away from the Cathedral. The staff are courteous and premises are spic and span. Room size was good too.

Honestly....nothing. Everything met or exceeded our expectation. We were very pleased with our stay.

All the staff was super friendly and helpful! The location was good, close to places of interest and also shops and restaurants. Although we didn't get the breakfast, it looked really good! We will definitely return to Strasbourgh and stay in this hotel again.

The write up said there were stairs to the bathroom. I called to check about that ahead of time and they said there were a few stairs. In reality it was a whole flight that was very steep to the bathroom and a bit dangerous.

The selection at breakfast would be better if it included fresh-cooked eggs and unsweetened oatmeal for those looking for more healthy options. Labels on yogurt would be helpful to know how much sugar they have, and plain Greek yogurt would be nice.

Fantastic location. Short walk from train station, yet in the heart of historic center. Loved having mini-soft pretzels and candy dish at reception. When you walk out the front door of the hotel you can see the cathedral at the end of the street. The room was very nice. Nice modern, cozy, and upscale decor. Lots of windows in room that were well insulated. The room and its private bathroom were large, well-designed and comfortable. Helpful, friendly staff. Nice breakfast room, with 2 self-serve cappuccino machines. This was a hotel that we were happy to come back to after a full day of sightseeing in beautiful Strasbourg and the Alsace region.

Stayed during winter.. the room was cold as the heater was not sufficient.. we were given the room at the basement level so there was no nice view or balcony as shown in the photos.

Reception was friendly and approachable. The location is fantastic.

The room was a bit strange. Flight of stairs that went to the upper floor right next to the door and had to watch our heads every time we went into the room. The room itself had a very strange design. And the breakfast which is so much praised on the site was totally ordinary. There is no real lobby. All would be just fine if we did not have to pay soooo much for the room.

The less expensive attic room cannot fit someone over 6 feet and neither does the bed. The hotel should warn tall travelers about this. Room very dusty and kept me sneezing all night. Young bearded man at reception should smile and be more welcoming towards guests. We pay for the room and we expect politeness. Not rudeness.

The only only only bad thing is the WiFi It was very weak and would sometimes cut completely and we had to call the reception to restart it so it works! It’s a disappointment since we’re in 2023 🙈

We had a great time at Gutenberg hotel Staff was super nice really helpful and always smiling 😊 Location was just perfect 2 minutes away from cathedral and 4 minutes walk from kleber square where there was the Xmas tree. We did not try their breakfast but at the reception they offered hot wine and pretzels which was cute! Rooms are clean and there’s everything you need (there was a coffee machine but no kettle)! Our room wasn’t too small which was perfect for 3 nights stay.
