Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicEverything was perfect.
Mrs. Veronique was extremely nice, kind, charming and hospitable. We had bread, croissants, jam, and fruit for breakfast and we didn't even mind, even though we are used to vegetables and sausages:-D. The possibility of private parking is excellent. We recommend visiting!

United KingdomNothing at all. Everything perfect.
Wonderful hostess Veronique. Excellent location, super clean and fridge stocked with essentials (milk etc) which was very welcome after a long day on the road and arriving in the evening. Nothing too much trouble and bonus of secure parking on site which accommodates large 4x4 (Landrover Defender 110).

United StatesThe stairs up to the sleeping loft are a little steep and narrow and may be difficult for someone with mobility issues. My knee sometimes acts up, so I only walked up to the loft to sleep and got dressed downstairs and cuddled on the couch to read.
Hosts delivered fresh warm croissants and baguettes each morning. They were friendly, welcoming and charming. We had our own place to park (it's very difficult to park in Giverny) and an small patio with a table and chairs and yard with chairs to relax in. Most of all, you couldn't find a better location. We were in the heart of Giverny, among many galleries, restaurants and shops. My husband loved the Mechanical Museum a few buildings away. It was only a 5 minute walk to Monet's house and garden and the Impressionist Museum. Plus, read up on the history and the painters who lived here during Monet's time.

FranceWonderful hosts, and superb location for visiting Monet house & gardens + museum just next door. We really enjoyed our stay. It is a small house, so getting up the stairs to the bedroom takes care if you are a certain age, so be careful; but the breakfast, location, and hosts more than make up for this small disadvantage.

United StatesSuch a lovely stay! Veronique went above and beyond to welcome us and make us feel comfortable. She directed us around town and even helped coordinate a taxi on our day of departure. The apartment looks better in person and has everything you would ever need. So clean and cozy, with amazing breakfast each morning. Would 100% stay here again and recommend.

United KingdomFabulous location, through a door from the busy Rue Monet into a quiet garden and charming accommodation which was perfect for a comfortable stay. Our friendly host brought us a tasty breakfast in the morning, with croissants, bread and fresh fruit salad. A particular delight was sitting in the part of the garden reserved for guests, with birds singing and bees buzzing, such a contrast to the busy area around Monet's house and garden just a stone's throw away.

United StatesWhile there were many narrow steps to climb, it could not be helped based on the layout of the house. Carrying luggage two flights was arduous. While leaving bread and some fruit, it was not a "bed and breakfast" as advertised. Bread is not breakfast. Not much in refrigerator so I had to buy fruits and pastries. The coffee machines did not operate or I could not use as planned so I had to go elsewhere for coffee with my breakfast. The directions given were somewhat confusing. Veronique can do better for her guests.
The location and hospitality were excellent. Veronique did her best to accompany me in my stay. Left bread in morning that was good and the house grounds were kept wonderfully. Beautifully done.
