Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room was not spacious. The double bed was up against the wall but it wasn't a problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Very good welcome. We were given comprehensive information for our stay. Perfect location for Eurostar. Easy walk to Canal St Martin.

United StatesMy only complaint is that the AC is restricted and centrally controlled. We like it a bit cooler than the room was set to so that made sleep a little challenging at times.
I've stayed here many times and I always enjoy how friendly the staff is. The rooms are comfortable and it is very easy to access public transport from here. We even got a free upgrade on this stay to a larger room!

United StatesThe shower in one of the rooms didn’t seal well and so we ended up with water in the floor/carpet. The desk said they would fix it.
The staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived late and left early and they helped us find everything we needed. One room was advertised as for two people when it really could only hold one, but we changed who would be in chick room and it all worked out. Very much enjoyed our short stay and would recommend it to friend too.

Chosen for convenient location between Gare l'Est and Gare du Nord. The room was tight but nicely appointed. The elevator was much appreciated. The bathroom was tight but very clean and modern.

United StatesNot much to complain about at all. There is a mini-fridge but no microwave so we always tried to finish our food while we were out or take home foods that didn't require it to be heated up. There was also an issue with the shower leaking out into the bathroom tiles. However, house staff always did a great job with cleanup.
The location was excellent! We were able to take the train straight from the airport to the Gare du Nord station, then walk 6 - 8 minutes to the hotel. After a long day of airport/plane travel, this was such a relief. About 9 - 11 minutes away, you can also walk to Gare de L'est station. The staff is also super friendly and speak excellent English. They provided great tips and advice if you needed it. They made the experience so much more welcoming and wholesome! The room was small, which is typical and expected in Paris, but clean.

United KingdomThere were a few really warm, stuffy days in May but apparently air conditioning does not get turned on until July. The blackout curtains had to be drawn to open the windows for ventilation so we had direct sun into the room. Not a big big deal but perhaps this air conditioning conditions should be mentioned in the description.
We enjoyed our stay here. Location was perfect. Room had the basic necessities for a comfortable short stay.

AustraliaIt's possible I didn't read the advert properly, but we were a little taken aback to discover that we had two separate beds. The shower head was a bit difficult to aim (it kept snapping back) and the shower door didn't close properly.
Nice hotel right next to Gare Du Nord, so a good departure / arrival point if you're travelling via CDG (CDG itself is best avoided, but that's besides the point). Always nice when you get a dressing gowns and heated towel racks, and can check out at midday. Well insulated from street noise.

AustraliaWe had to chase up toilet paper when we arrived. Our room faced a busy street so was a bit noisy, though closing windows made a significant difference, not a key issue for us.
Very handy location close to Gare du Nord. Reasonably well run hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Very spacious room with adequate facilities. Able to open and close the outdoor facing windows.

AustraliaThe hotel is close to Gare de Nord so it is easy to get to and has easy access to the Metro system. The rooms are a little on the small side which is pretty standard for Paris but the bed was good and the shower had decent water pressure.

United StatesIt exceeded my expectation. The location is excellent with easy access to bus and train for the tourist spots I visited including an easy transfer to CDG airport. I felt safe walking around the area by myself. There are restaurants, fast food chains, coffee shops, and grocery store near the hotel. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
