it looks like it had no renovations at all (towels with holes,trolley in the bathroom covered with rust, luggage “sofa” very old and ruined). Another lady NOT gentle at all (long straight hair, she was there when I checked in, together with the other nice lady): I called reception and asked to change room since mine had a smell of smoke inside (I’m not a smoker) and initially she didn’t want to, because the hotel has a no smoking policy, I told her to come into my room and check it. she didn’t come and she offered a twin room instead of my type of room. I went downstairs and when I arrive she wrote a pink post-it to the nice lady: “put her on a twin room”. I read it and found it very very rude! luckily the gentle lady was there (embarrassed by her colleague attitude) she was kind and understood immediately the situation . I got a twin room since no other rooms were available but at least she was gentle and taking care of a customer need.

Beds are very comfortable, rooms quite big with a good space and nice shower. Very gentle lady at the reception (Indian origins but speaking Italian too :)) ready to support, kind, smiling…a perfect welcome!

It was quite cold and you couldn’t adjust the temperature in room. we called to ask for the temperature to be changed however it stayed the same therefore a very cold night! this is not the hotels fault however across the road some people were having a party and the people in the room next to us were arguing very loudly which meant very disruptive sleep.

The price I paid was really high for one night considering they had no wi fi which was broken the day I went probably just bad luck however the TV in my room was glitchy as hell kept turning itself off over and over again and the sky TV just never worked from hours of trying. I usually wouldn't mind these minor details but considering I paid almost 200 pounds for one night it was really disappointing.

The location was great and the facilities were adequate nice and spacious with every thing you may need inside the rooms

We loved everything. Although you have to call reception to ask them to turn on the heat in the room but other than this the room was nice just what we needed. Comfy bed too!

I really loved my stay in this hotel. Everything was perfect. The location is wonderful, especially with all the restaurants and cafes lit up at night by the canal. The room was very comfy, breakfast was great and, in particular, the staff were fantastic. Thank you and I do hope to visit again soon!

I didn't like that there was no reserved toilet roll, in case it was needed. I also had to iron my shirt on a very lower setting since I could see that the iron had what looks to be burnt clothing on it.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of the concierge throughout my stay because they were very accommodating on checking in and out of the establishment. The person that stood out the most was Ali, this chap's overall demeanour and approach to queries was very pleasant and refreshing, he would be one of the reasons for my partner and I wanting to stay at the AC Hotel again. He is a very professional member of staff and definitely deserves some sort of commendation for the work that he puts in with guests.

The bar below is a cricket bar, our room above it. There was lots of banging, shouting and braying coming from men on the bar's balcony. We had to keep the window shut which was frustrating. The hotel bed was not as comfy as a Prem Inn bed.

Lovely room, wooden floors, coffee maker, good shower. Excellent staff. Location great forchain bars and restaurants. A 5 min walk to Broad Street, New Street station and shopping. Walking down the canal in the evening felt completely safe too. Nice canal views from our room. Room very clean and maintained. Car park only a 2 min walk away in the Mailbox.

Upon arrival the beautiful stylish decor surrounding the hotel interior and exterior brought a very homely warm feeling , the staff was professional and on point very helpful/ polite The breakfast was 10/10 , fresh ingredients on tap , the night life was great very suttle vibe nothing to major , for everyone needs I will definitely be booking to come back and stay and refer friends / family
