The lift was broken but we were put on a lower room upgraded for free !! Outside is tired

We had a balcony property. Rotten and very unclean. Rotten wood and disgusting chairs for the balcony.

Lift out of service , things were cut back on , compared to other stays , no heating in room , breakfast had less choice , dirty windows , old spills that had never been cleaned,

Great location with incredible sea views from our room. Very clean and excellent facilities. Room was very comfortable and so quiet. Breakfast was cooked fresh, piping hot and very tasty. Would definitely recommend

lifts out of order but we were informed after booking! heating was off in room and bathroom towel rail didnt come on,if you havnt a car its at the top of a very sterp hill

Lift not working we was on top floor so 77 steps up and 77 steps down we was told breakfast was from 6am got down at 6.30 am and closed till 8am! So we left without having breakfast that’s all part of the stay for us.

Lovely hotel, great location,clean,happy lovely helpful staff, restaurant nice, free parking ,walking distance to town. Nice coastal walk also weather was kind will definitely stay again

At breakfast you were shown to your seat with a view of the sea and the staff were courteous and ensured that you had everything you needed. The starter was self service but the main breakfast meal was ordered and brought to your table which was excellent.

Lift was out of order. Our room was on the top floor (3rd). Unfortunately, due to the scale of the hotel (appreciated initially), it translated into lugging bags up and down a LOT of stairs. Hotel needs a refresh…external paintwork and chandelier repairs at a minimum.

Scale of the place. Nice high ceilings and plenty of space in the bar, restaurant and public areas. Staff very friendly and obliging. On-site parking. Lovely view from our room. Dinner was delicious. No opportunity to sample breakfast as had an early flight to catch.

lift still was not working with a sign saying a maintenance man was coming “today” everyday and reviews were saying the same thing month previous.

amazing location although the winds on the headland were crazy. although the outside of the hotel could do with some TLC, the inside was beautiful and got such a good deal on the room which was massive!

There were just a few things that were a bit off. Restaurant menu wasn't great. We were the only people in the restaurant and we were left so long we left without a dessert.

Having a balcony and not being able to use it. Steam room out of action. Jacuzzi jets not produceing power with no instructions. Lift not working. Toilet rim not clean Shower knobs hard to operate as if part missing.

The tatty room curtain backs coming apart.. the top of the curtain is falling down....coffee stains all over the table... coffee stains on the stairs on the outside The door card stopped working 4 times witch would have be OK but the lift was not working and being on the top floor memt alot of up and down thwy needed to have someone at the top no way of contacting reception as bizzer was broken it needs to be cleaner....

Cleaning was not very good. Not much choice on the evening menu, quite pricey and same menu every night.

The hotel is tired, pulling up we were nervous but inside it was lovely, the rooms are tired too. The hotel has bars and event space which just isn’t used. Needs some money and care thrown at it but great value for money. The car park is tight too. In the night, there were silverfish in the bathroom which was a shame as it was clean. The hotel wasn’t unclean, just tired. The lift was out of order but this didn’t impact our stay and we were notified before we arrived.

Location and views are brilliant! Once inside the hotel, it’s lovely, quite grand and it wasn’t busy. We had a twin room which was large with high ceilings and coastal views. The hotel has SO much potential, just a shame to see it not being looked after.
