Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe were told there was a fee of £15 for earlier book in. We were an hour early. Although the room was clean, the bath was stained also I couldn't get the plug out after my bath. The bed and pillows were so uncomfortable that I was in pain the next morning and finally we were disturbed at 9:30am by room service when we had another half an hour before vacating the room.

United KingdomUnfortunately the reception staff’s attitude varies only from disinterested to making visitors feel downright unwelcome. On check in, no greeting, no smile or engagement (and I’d had a long journey) and absolutely no information given apart from where the lift was-although I’d just booked breakfast I wasn’t told what time it was served or where it would be. Neither was I told that if I wanted my room serviced I’d have to “book at reception”, which is what I was stonily informed on enquiring the next day why it hadn’t been done. Wasn’t told the restaurant stops serving meals at 8pm when I arrived at 745pm. No information in the room, either-very irritating. Not even how to operate the TV. Room was far too hot so had to turn the radiator off-the windows don’t open.
I was attending a funeral at the cathedral and the hotel is literally next door, so the location was very convenient. The hotel room that I had was fine, bed comfy and the room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was pretty good. The gentleman in charge of the restaurant was very pleasant and helpful (but he was the only one-see below)

United KingdomLight switches were away from the bed. The hotel building was a bit tired. 1960/70 Coventry re-build and feeling its age.
The staff were excellent. Professional, efficient and approachable. We were singing in the cathedral so the location couldn't have been better. The evening meal was just what we needed. It was fairly straightforward but well cooked and generous portions. We had a large room with a wonderful view of the cathedral spire and Holy Trinity spire -almost picture postcard. For tourists all the museums, historic sites were within easy reach. The pedestrian shopping centre was very close by too. Good value for money too.

One towel from toilet was a bit dirty (had some black stains on it).

United KingdomMouldy sheets, shower rail in Bath was broken, key card never worked properly, check in was confusing, rooms were mixed up. Lamp shade was missing on bedside lamp which exposed sharp edges, kept catching my head on it. My friend also received a few bites.
Room was a good size, plenty of storage space, was warm as the weekend weather was cold.

United KingdomBeds clean,but hard 4pm check in and checkout by 10am not great.. had to pay extra to store our luggage because luggage safe was full.. earlier check in would have been better Our room had la balcony, but the door was so loose there was a really bad draft, had to plug the lock on the door to reduce draft.. Radiator had issues that made a terrible noise in the middle of the night which woke us up, had to get out of bed to sort it out. Shower very poor.
