Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room was a twin as requested, however, I would say, for what we paid for it, which was around £450 for 2 nights, it wasn't the greatest value for money. The room was small and had two beds, which were put together. However there wasn't much space to walk around, and nowhere to sit, other than a small stall underneath a shelving area for the kettle etc, or perching on the only side of the bed facing the door. I've stayed in Premier inns that were bigger in prime locations for a fraction of the cost. I've also stayed in 5-star hotels for the same amount of money. This room would be ideal for one person. But for two, it was cramped, especially when getting ready to go out. It also felt a little claustrophobic and with it being a secondary floor, the windows were fixed shut so we couldn't get any air in. It did have an air conditioner though, so that helped. The bathroom didn't have an extractor fan, and the toilet struggled to flush occasionally. Due to the age of the building, I imagine it was a water pump issue. Once you held the button in for a minute or two, then it would finally work. Bear in mind that there is no space for a wardrobe in the room. We had a small ladder-type thing with a couple of hangers on it. There wasn't much space to store luggage either. So if you're coming internationally with a lot of stuff, see if they have a bigger room for your belongings. All in all, not the end of the world, but I felt I needed to give a transparent review. We had a great time in Camden, I'd probably stay again as long as it wasn't as expensive as this particular time, or we had a larger room.
It's a great location to stay at if you want to see a gig as it's opposite Roundhouse, which was why we were there. It's also less than a minute's walk from Chalk Farm's underground stop. Very close to Camden market and all the hustle and bustle of Camden High Street, yet not too close that it's too hectic and noisy. While we had a front-facing room onto the main road, the secondary glazing helped dull the traffic noise so it wasn't disturbing. The bathroom was modern, clean, and a great size, as was the rain shower. Nice towels were provided. The Pub downstairs is great and we ate and had drinks there. Good traditional pub food and a fair price too. Some bar staff were pleasant and helpful. Some weren't that chipper, with a feeling of not wanting to be there. The cleaning staff were exceptional and polite and offered to clean our room, which we declined as we were only there for a couple of days. They also brought us more bottles of water. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable, which it should be for that price.

United KingdomIt was a bit cramped but no more than most rooms in London. Even though there was some natural light via a skylight, I found the lack of a window disconcerting, especially as I have mild claustrophobia.
Room had everything we needed and was spotless.Bathroom was modern with good shower. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Really easy to check in, manager very friendly. Looked after our bags til check in and again when we checked out til the end of the day. Room spotless and bed so comfortable. Some road noise but you're in Camden so expect that. Rooms are over the pub but I didn't hear any pub noise at all. You could get food in the pub if you wanted which looked lovely and breakfast. Rooms have hairdryer, iron and ironing board, coffee machine and a kettle and a safe, really impressed and would def stay here again in the future. Also great for gigs as opposite the Roundhouse and right opposite Chalk farm tube. 10 mins walk to Camden market.

United KingdomCouldn’t really have the blinds open as very exposed, but not really an issue. Couldn’t get the TV to work but didn’t have time to worry about this as it’s more entertaining to be out in Camden!
Quiet, in a busy location. We stayed in the Ferdinand Street rooms. Perfect for attending the Roundhouse, easy to find.

Amazing property best hotel I’ve stayed in London. Lovely pub downstairs that does food and has sky sports. Comfy beds. Had everything you needed in the room. So easy to check in and out. Able to leave bags while out for the day before room check in and after checkout this is really helpful. Great location for London Zoo took us less than 20 minutes to walk there through the park. Lovely friendly staff what a great place. We will be back!

United KingdomFelt safe as access is via room key. Like the modern room comfy bed and in room facilities inc bottle of water.
I’ve stayed here before when coming up to London for a gig in Camden so knew it was clean and comfy. There is a small lift so access to all floors is good. The room (104) is comfy and all facilities including tea/coffee in room, hair dryer safe and working air con etc. To collect your door key you need to collect from bar at pub. Thought £186 would include breakfast but no.
