    It’s properly “off the grid”!

Beautiful rural location. Yurts were great. Slept like a log all week.

This is a very unique accommodation experience, very primitive, but very experiential, away from electrical appliances, enjoy firewood.

It was unfortunately very disappointing and very overpriced for the quality of yurt and facilities.

Inside the yurt felt rather drab and uncared for, with lots of visible water staining on the insulation layer. The ‘kitchenette’ was very very basic and the cooking stove very ineffective. Kettle didn’t work. Access up and down to kitchenette was insufficient and involved climbing over or under a fence continuously. The shower room has a problem with its floor whereby half the room filled with water whenever a shower was taken. There was no recycling or food composting taking place at this site and everything - glass, plastic, cans, food waste, all went in the same bin, which was just grim. So much for being eco? The gas cooker didn’t work properly in the communal kitchen and involved ‘pumping’ the ignition many times to get it to work - this felt very rough and dangerous. Inadequate kitchen utensils and non stick pans were all very scratched and unpleasant to use.

The location was great. Charlie gave us a very warm welcome.
