Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomIt was a shame about restaurant not being open on monday and even then, it's quite specific in its dishes so not much choice. But plenty of places nearby. Prices are also quite steep, but I expected it of a hotel of this calibre and location.
Amazing stay in a building full of history! Loved the decor, great style and really enjoyed the historic bits sprinkled around the hotel. The bed was amazing, probably the most comfortable sleep I've ever had. Really enjoyed drinks at the 40 Elephants Bar (although beware, nothing on tap in terms of beer and not much choice of bottled beer) but my Passionfruit martini was amazing. The breakfast was also delicious and I would definitely recommending trying it if you're staying. The bathroom has a very modern funky toilet, a shower AND a bath, which was definitely worth it. Really enjoyed the vibe of the room and would love to stay in it again. Loved our Deluxe King room and the late checkout was most enjoyable!

United KingdomThe breakfast was poor considering it was 5 star hotel. the coffee was cold, we asked for extra hot, they said they didn't think they could get that for us, and so we ended up with cold coffee. There was hardly any healthy choices and, the cooked breakfast was very disappointing.
The location was great, it was pretty close to everything. The room was lovely and reception staff were extremely helpful.

United KingdomThe bathroom in our room was tiny. Only one person really could get into it at a time. The toilet was very odd and it was difficult to turn off the unwanted bidet features. We had breakfast included but the check in staff tried to charge us again. The bills get a bit mixed up. We were given one for someone else with their details on when we arrived, but when we left we were not shown our final bill. It was supposed to be emailed to us but never arrived. When we queried the amount later we were told that the extra was a service charge that we didn’t know about before.
Location is perfect. Friendly staff, comfortable room, good breakfast. Lift came quickly. Staff at the door very helpful with luggage. Nice and quiet. Nice decor with interesting features about the history of the building.

The hotel is centrally placed for everything situated along very quiet street.Beautiful and historic building. All staff super friendly and efficient.Room was spacious and spotlessly clean with free soft drinks .Breakfast was superb quality with great selection.Hotel bars were trendy and relaxing with great cocktails Could not fault hotel..looking forward to going back.
