    Nothing comes to mind.

The location is perfect! All the appliance were fully functional, the HVAC system was working good. Laundry facilities were perfect. Very spacious. Breathtaking view and peace and quiet everywhere around the cottage. A nice plus was Pecica (I hope my spelling is correct), one playful dog, who welcomed us and kept us entertained. If we ever return to Scotland, definitely will be staying here again!

The frying pan was loosing its non stick surface, but this was the only thing not liked. It still cooked breakfast well though 😋

Location, the woods and river, and great for our dog to run free. The owner was great, friendly and helpful, and our dog loved his puppy

Creaky floorboards in the night. Springs in the mattress could be felt, but we had enough bedding to soften it. Kitchen cupboards had too much crockery, leaving little space for groceries. .

Wonderful location, very quiet. Very clean. Very nice outside seating area. Clean bathroom and great shower. Warm welcome by owner. Wood fired hot tub and Weber barbeque. Surrounded by trees and having the river nearby.

    Nothing to dislike

Beautifully set next to the river Glass in a quiet private estate. We stayed in riverside cottage which is literally on the rivers edge. Big windows let lots of natural light into the cottage even though it’s in a small wooded area. The cottage was excellently equipped with everything and more needed to prepare and cook our Christmas dinner. The house was immaculate and the quality of bedding and soft furnishings was excellent. Really good log burner which heated the lounge/kitchen/diner up really quickly even though it’s high ceilings, plenty of wood for the fire available. WiFi strength was good considering location, TV equipped with free view, Netflix and YouTube not that we spent a lot of time watching tv as the local area and scenery was to good. Wood fired hot tub available and Jack the owner came to give us a run down of how to work it. Lots of wildlife about we had a Fox in the garden, red kite and Hare. The cottage is a walkers, fisherman’s or just a peace and quiet enthusiasts dream. Right level of interaction between owner and available if required. We hope to return soon.

The hot tub only arrived the day before we left, so we never got a chance to try it out. (This isn't really a complaint, as we didn't know there would be a hot tub, so it wasn't missed.) We did find the bed to be a little uncomfortable, so went and bought a mattress topper, which helped. Otherwise, can't fault it.

Amazing location. Perfect for getting away from it all! So tranquil and secluded.

The chalet was clean & comfortable & has a retro feel to it. It was a bit on the tired side but with some new updated soft furnishings, crockery & utensils it would draw attention away. Jack the owner is striving to update & will very much look forward to a future visit. 😁

It’s location is set beautifully in a peaceful & calm area next to River Glass. The style of chalet is nice & cosy, you can sit & enjoy the peacefulness of the natural scene around you. It had good modern shower, boiler & satellite. A huge lovely Scandinavian hot tub is nearby right next to the flowing River Glass which you can book, perfect for ending your day.

    Cobwebs

As much as I dislike to ever point out negatives, I am always honest with any review so; The cobwebs are like something for a Halloween party. Quite unbelievable frankly that a hoover would just be taken to all the roofs and corners. Cellings are high however this isn't an acceptable excuse. The cobwebs have clearly been present for quite some time and cannot be reasonably excused. It is the only let down for this place. In this day and age there is absolutely no excuse for neglected housekeeping and this place is such a gem but this knocks off a few stars! Floors were just skimmed over with a hoover, still dirty and debris visible. No full barrow of logs for the hot tub or for indoors when we arrived but when asked was promptly brought, the same with the BBQ. The hot tub was dirty and had to be cleaned out by us before use which wasn't ideal at all, this should be checked prior to arrival. We had to request more logs later in the week. Would have been nice if this was pre-empted and taken care of instead of having to ask. Lots of bits left in the kitchen/diner from previous guests, condiments, random tub with powder, open ice bags in the freezer etc - Again, these are not necessary items to be there and would be better off clearing everything from previous guests out after each depart. The provided information pack was grubby required a wipe down, laminated but ring marks etc Lots of little details that require attention. The keeper was friendly and polite and had great communication from the owner when I made the booking.

Stunning location, the accommodation itself is exactly what you need. Nice quaint cottage, dog friendly.
