Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAll was good, nothing not to like.
The hotel was well placed for the Train Station, which is how I arrived in Nottingham, and for the Cricket Ground, which was the reason for the visit. Breakfast was very good as was the bar facilities and food at night. Stayed with you before and hopefully with stay again sometime in the future/

GermanyReally would have loved a mini fridge in the room.
Very convenient location to main station‘s regional and tram lines meant that we could reach Peak District just as well as the Nottingham city center. We chose this hotel to start and end our trip to the region and it did not disappoint.

United KingdomNot the end of the world, but the bath hot tap ran painfully slow !! And there was no marmalade at breakfast.
The hotel was very close to the venue that we were visiting. Our room was bright and clean. The bed, pillows and covers were very comfortable.

United KingdomAs soon as we left the hotel to walk into town, we stumbled upon a couple of druggies trying to light a crack pipe next door to the hotel and using the building for shelter whilst burning their fingers on their lighter and swearing away at each other, and we came across many of their toothless friends in and around the city centre. I don't know if the hotel is in a rough area or not but suspect that this was a one-off. We saw many of their toothless friends around town so I'd say drugs are a Nottingham issue not a hotel issue. Its not a pleasant sight though.
The hotel was a short walk for the station and the receptionist greeted us with a friendly welcoming smile followed by a speedy and informative check-in. We had a corner room on the 9th floor. The room was clean and the view over Nottingham and the immediate countryside was fantastic ... and as a bonus the windows opened fully to let in fresh air which I like! There was an element of traffic noise which personally I don't care about but if you do, close the window and its gone. The bed was okay, but the quilt was hot and the pillows hard which is par for the course in this price range. Despite this, I slept quite well. Breakfast was busy when we went (about 09:30), but the staff were really friendly and any missing food was quickly replaced even though breakfast finished at 10:00. Overall a tasty and filling breakfast. The shower and bathroom facilities were basic but good.

United KingdomTV was in an odd location and kind of impossible to watch from bed. Shower made some very odd noises once it'd been used and bathroom felt a little dated versus the room. Service in the restuarant/bar for dinner was slow and they didn't have many of the advertised drinks options. Food was average but 10% off for hotel guests. Buffet breakfast was mush better.
Excellent value for money stay. Good sized, spotless room and comfy bed. Nice views of Nottingham from our 7th floor room. Handy location by the station, smooth check-in and a good breakfast. Very good air con.

United KingdomBed was a bit sloping for me. Great beds but didn't seem 100% flat- which does need rectifying for best sleep. Communal carpet on floors seemed old.
Great size, big, good beds but bit uneven!, very clean throughout, modern and good shower. High floor affords great views. Light in hall at door would be good. Did not have breakfast. Bar, restaurant, reception, lounge - all spacious, pleasant and helpful, good staff throughout. Overall very clean and pleasant.
