Nice staff, clean and spacious room

We arrived in Sheffield late so needed somewhere close to the station. The hotel is very central so a perfect base for a city break. The staff were all friendly and helpful and it was good value.

Bathroom was very musty, and there was little natural daylight on the room.

I found the room quite hot and couldn’t turn the heat below 19 degrees . The air flow to the room also turned off during the night. I had to sleep with the windows open to keep cool

The staff were so lovely and the room had everything I needed. Excellent location and value for money. Would absolutely stay again.

Bar staff must have been new as they didn't know much when asked and the room card didn't work at first so had to go back down to reception

Nothing to dislike. Like most City centre hotel's it doesn't have a car park

I often travel to Sheffield and stay in this hotel. It's a good city centre location short walk to the train station, theatres and shops. The hotel is always clean, comfortable bed and staff friendly.Good value for money nice breakfast.

The bathroom was very dark with 1 light which didn't illuminate the whole room, so you have to shower in very dim light. Also a disappointing shower, the only power was with cold water and once you turn the temperature up the pressure drops to a very low pressure meaning you have to stand very close to the wall.

We were asked to be quiet but not really causing much noice we were put in a room that had the adjoining door so the next morning we could hear the people in the next room - obvs we didn’t complain however we were embarrassed on the night that we’d been asked too

Breakfast was not very good despite the high price! It was very expensive (£16!) There was a good choice of food and the fruit, yoghurt and cereals were good however all of the bread and pastries were very stale, bacon tasted reheated and the beans, mushrooms and eggs were cold

Really lovely hotel, very clean and really nice interior. Bedrooms were great, and very comfortable. Noise levels very low despite it being very busy.

The only slight downside was that there was a stain on the mattress protector and the wall lamps were quite loose. The bathroom is small but adequate for what you need it for.

Hotel is conveniently located very near to the city centre and just a short walk away from the train station. Upon entering reception, there is the most wonderful perfumed smell! The staff are very pleasant and know exactly what they are doing. The bar is a really nice space to be able to relax and chill out. The whole hotel is spotless, including the rooms. The room itself is very well presented and has everything in it that you need. There is daily room service - beds are made, fresh towels provided, bin emptied etc. I will be staying here again next time I am in the area!

The walls were quite thin so could hear noise quite easily, especially in the hallway.

No parking at the hotel but a discounted deal with a car park close by.

Couple of small issues with the room (had to force the door shut otherwise it wouldn’t close/lock itself and ventilation hatch above door was loose)

Switched on TV and always came up with HDMI connection saying no cable connection. Had to always switch source to TV. BBC1 had no sound despite me asking twice for it to be fixed. Limited number of channels on the TV. Shower in bathroom is fixed so can't alter height or direction

Nice size bar. Decent size restaurant for breakfast with a wide variety of breakfast options including cooking poached eggs.

The air con in the room wasn't working but this wasn't much of an issue given the time of year. The breakfast was good but a little pricey.

Louise at reception was very friendly and welcoming on check-in. All staff we came across were polite and down to earth. The location was unbeatable for our visit and activities.

Black mould around the shower tiles and seals. Staff member on duty in the bar on the evening seemed to struggle to understand "gin and slimline tonic" but was happy to supply us with a jug of fresh milk for our room.

Staff happy to let us leave our bags before check in time. Very convenient location, easy access to car parking. Shower easy to access and easy control, Tea and coffee provided.
