Small heater for such a big room and thin duvet so felt cold - no spare blankets in room and the size of the heater for the room is not matched (as someone who has installed them I know) - it's a cost cutting exercise no doubt but if they changed that then this would be perfect. Not enough hooks in bathroom to hang things up - a small touch but important.

Great room and location with friendly staff and good food on offer in the bar.

the room is quite sizable - it's the toilet that was super tiny - standing shower with nothing that would stop the water flooding the small toilet/ shower, which means we had at ask for cleaners ( just put the sign up) which they to be fair did promptly and well and replaced all the towels. all in all great stay and there is more perks going for the place as opposite to the toilet shower thing and i'd definitely go back

We had pigeons cooing outside our windows pretty much the entire time since arrival. We managed to get to sleep but the 4.45am wake up was not fun. I would definitely stay again but in a room with no birds outside.

We absolutely loved this hotel and cannot wait to stay again. The room was lovely and the staff were great. The score would have been exceptional had it not been for the 4.45am wake up call (pigeons).

The staff were so helpful and so lovely. Room service was amazing, there’s a tablet you can order food/drinks on and they bring it to your room. The cocktails were great, and the room comfortable and right in the centre.

There was no lift; however, the receptionist carried my case up for me so I only had to struggle downstairs with it when I was leaving.

The location was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was extra but was freshly cooked and worth the money. I would definitely use it again.

The property is a bit old and in need of a bit of repair and maintenance. We had to switch rooms because the roof leaked in our 3rd floor room during a rainstorm. And the shower enclosure in our first room had no door or curtain on it. Our second room was better but still had some issues with water seeping out from the shower enclosure.

Loved the location! Price was very reasonable especially after considering the price we paid for our hotel in London. Easy walking distance to all the important sites in central Liverpool. Only a couple of streets over from Bond St strip of pubs and restaurants and very close to the Pier and bus services including to John Lennon airport. The Matthew St where the Cavern and other Beatles sites are is also easy walking distance. And, I loved the history of the hotel being the home of “Dirty Maggie Mae”, the subject of the Beatles ditty on the White Album. Just added some additional character to our Beatles pilgrimage to Liverpool. Lastly, the staff at the hotel were outstanding! Thanks to them all!

Room was a little dark and overlooking alley but nicely decorated and comfy beds meant you could overlook this

Great little hotel in perfect city centre location near to Albert Docks and shopping/ restaurant district. Loved the flexible breakfast time and choice at connecting restaurant. Nicely cooked, good value breakfast. Well priced room, helpful staff.

No elevator and lots of stairs as we were on top floor and I have an ankle injury but this was a minor dislike. The blinds and window in the bathroom looks like they are overdue a clean

Very helpful pleasant staff, always happy to help, wonderful breakfast, the room very clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed, very large bathroom with shower. Would highly recommend this property, will be coming back in the future.

Room facilities could be better for the price. Toilet flusher was wonky. Shower had mould on base. Would have been nice to have little extras like biscuits.

Loved its quirkiness. Staff were exceptional and they saw to our needs even typing up a list for us about our stay. Loved the decor and the bar.
