How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The only thing I didn't like was that the coridor had a smell of bacon during the morning
The staff was friendy and welcoming. The location was very convinient and the room was cleaned every day. There is an option to leave your luggage before the check-in and after check-out.

Room was small and had to carry luggage up a few floors. However both of these were very clear on the website when booking so we knew what we were getting into.
Location was great; close to Victoria station. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was small but very clean which is what we cared about more. Breakfast was fast and convenient.

The beds and pillows were pretty hard, thankfully I travel with my own pillow.
The location was great, and it was incredibly clean. The staff are so kind and friendly. Wonderful atmosphere!

Stairs not always a favourite, but also not an issue.
The location had great access to the Underground stations, busses and easy for walking to lots of places. The owners are exceptional people in friendliness, in assisting with any questions you have. Breakfast service was amazing and food delicious. The bed very comfortable.

It wasn’t an issue for us, but the rooms are smaller. The bed was not super comfortable.
Awesome location. Easy for being a tourist without being in a super busy area. The breakfast was super convenient and a nice addition.

Ideally situated for US embassy - primary reason for visit - but only 20 minute walk from Victoria for theatre. Staff helpful. Quiet location for big city.

Its location
The friendly family feel. They made me and my son feel so welcome and were so helpful explaining the bus routes and area. I’d highly recommend and go back.

It was a pleasant surprise to stay at Hotel Luna e Simone. The owners were very attentive, privileged location to the metro and main tourist attractions. I will stay again.

A lift would have been nice.
The staff were wonderful, so friendly and charming. They greeted us on arrival and each time we saw them. They always asked if we were having a lovely time in London. The rooms were small but lovely and clean with everything we needed. Breakfast was included, which was appreciated in the city. Service was excellent and the food was good. The hotel was in a very safe area, close to Pimlico station and with the 24 bus stopping right outside. They allowed us to store our luggage before and after checkout.

The fan was too slow when we were hot we required a strong fan after walking up a flight of stairs.

Room was a little small. Asked for fried tomatoes instead of baked beans for breakfast but they where unable to do this. Could either have cold or warmed up. Woken up at 1.30am by slaming door and load talking for 45mins from other guests
Excellant very helpfull staff . Everwhere was very clean.

We love staying at Luna Simon while in London, the staff is wonderful and its a great location. The 24 bus is right outside their door and the hotel is within walking distance to Victoria Station, Westminister Abbey and other site in London. They serve a basic english breakfast each morning the food is always nice and hot, and they offer Gluten free options as well
