How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Great place to stay when you travel from or to Luton Airport. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were well-equipped and clean. It took me a few minutes to get there from the airport (if you don't mind 10 min walk, you can get a taxi there for 5 quid (at night)). Jahan was very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to Luton and Luton Parkway train station. I will definitely stay there again.

The shared shower had terrible water pressure and was tricky to use.
Good location at a good price. I screwed up the booking date but the host was amazing and moved things around to accommodate us!

Staff/owner? lived next door so was available if needed. He could not have been more helpful. Close to Luton airport so ideal for a one night stay if picking people up from the airport especially with a late in the day arrival. The kitchen was stocked so I could make breakfast. Short walk to a choice of places to eat. Comfortable beds. Good value.

No complaints.
The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Shared bathroom was spotlessly clean, as was the communal kitchen. The host is very friendly and always ready to help if you have a question. Shops and eateries are one minute walk. It‘s a 15-minute walk to Luton Town and 45 minutes to Luton Airport.

Only some really minor suggestions. Would have been great to have a bottle of water each for the room as there was no sink nor kettle and cups in the room. I'm sure if we had come earlier there would have been options downstairs but we didn't want to wake anyone as we arrived in the middle of the night. A plug with built in USB input would be useful as well.
The owner Jahan, was really helpful in getting us a taxi in the morning that was affordable, and made special arrangements for us to get a keycode so we could arrive later than the scheduled check-in time so we could rest between two flights. I also liked that there was a place to take your shoes off downstairs so that the carpets kept nice and clean upstairs. Bathroom everything worked and fresh towels. Room, house and area nice and quiet for some restful sleep. Takes about 5-8 minutes from airport by taxi. The taxi getting there was a black cab from the ranks which charged 22 pound, but the one Jahan got us was from circle cars and cost 6 pound. if you are arriving and want the cheap one to get there, you can walk to the holiday inn express and order a circle cars from there and you'll get the lower price. the black cabs have to add on more for going right into the airport but its only a five minute walk to get to the holiday inn.

Great location. Taxi to Luton Exchange costs £6. Takeaway around the corner is lovely. You have post office and shops few minutes drive (£5 taxi). House is nice. Freshly refurbished. Had issue with booking.com website with delayed emailals so contact them via booking and you will get mobile. Text mobile to get access code etc. Landlord is brand new. I fly every month and look forward to be back. Great value for money. If you want fancy hotel its not your choice. But for the price is great value for money. Had nice and comfortable journey

Certainly isn’t luxury as advertised Room clean but smelt of feet Shared bathroom wasn’t Cold water for washing hands… didn’t venture into the shower to try the water largely as is was grubby…heavily water stained shower screen and just grubby. Bed, too soft, for me..didn’t sleep.
