Good location with onsite parking- free if you join their rewards scheme which is also free. Facilities were excellent. Room was a little small and the shower could do with refreshing.

The service in the evening in the restaurant was a little bit slow, it was very quiet in there and I felt a bit forgotten at times. The hotel itself seems to have been recently renovated and is very nice however, the leisure facilities are incredibly dated and definitely need a freshen up.

The single room was more spacious than I had expected, it had a double bed and the bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated. The room, bathroom and communal areas were clean. The restaurant, food and breakfast were lovely.

No ramp at main entrance which could easily be done. Sauna still not fixed. Hole on wall at swimming pool still not made good. Swimming pool crowded Mon Wed and Friday mornings with school children. Expensive menu.

There is a £12 parking charge that should be considered before booking. As there's no free parking nearby it's effectively a mandatory room markup. If you're taking a car you should allow for that when comparing room rates as that fee makes this hotel more expensive than other equivalent hotels nearby. The fitness centre is also very small so don't expect a huge gym - you can get a decent workout, but only if you get the timing right and don't run into other users.

The staff are very good. Imani on reception was particularly informative and friendly. The rooms are always spotless and for me the location is perfect as it's easily accessible when stopping on a journey as it doesn't require going into the centre of town.

The hotel has rent their car park to the parkingeye company this is very sad that they now charge customers be sure too check I just received a £100 request very angry I been booking this hotel for years seriously considering not booking again 😡

Although the food was lovely in the restaurant, the time it took to arrive was far too long...up to 45 mins. Breakfast was much better due to self service.

Room very small Card deactivated prior to checkout time, went to collect cases at 11:50 and was locked out, had to go reception to rectify Jacuzzi turned off Sunday morning

Booking.com or the accommodation didn't tell us about the 12 pound parking charge that has been introduced since we were last there, adding to the cost of our trip. The fan was loud and woke my husband and up.

Confusing car park and spa was difficult to navigate as the stairs leading to it were steep and without footwear would be potentially dangerous (this had to be done in your swimwear as the changing rooms are upstairs from the spa)

There was an issue around the parking, things were not clearly explained and my relatives were unfairly charged/Taxed, the matter will be appealed. You need to make things clear!

Stayed here a few times for work. Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. Good leisure facilities, if ever so slightly tired. Nice place over all, nice food and drink. Would return and would recommend!
