Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The reception lady think her name was Katy was absolutely brilliant front of house really lovely we booked a small cosy room and it was very small for the money I know it was central to the train and the venue we was going too but I thought it was a little expensive

United KingdomNot sure if we got the short straw on one of the cosy double rooms but the room was extremely small, the shower glass came apart from the runner, there was no mirror in the room, just a huge TV, which isn't helpful when you want to get ready for your evening. Apart from the light in the hallway it was like solving a eacaoe room tryin to figure out how to switch on the 3 lamps to light the bedroom up. Although the location was perfect, I'm not sure it was worth the money compared to other hotels I've stayed at. However, I would probably return to this hotel to give it another chance.

When we arrived we were told we had been upgraded to a larger room which was fantastic. The bed was enormous! Room was nicely decorated. The shower was good. It’s in a great location.

United KingdomThis is the second time we have stayed. Our room was a little smaller than the last room we had. The bedding was clean and fresh, and we had a good night's sleep. We stayed in room 704, their was no large mirror in the room once you were changed, so you couldn't really check yourself out before going out, it had large cobwebs in the corners on the walls, and the shower tray was very dirty and discoloured. It had a noticeable yellow stain on it and just looked like it had never been cleaned. We didn’t complain at the as the chap on the desk was very busy and we didn't have time to hang around.
Beautiful building, staff were very friendly and professional. We booked a table at the restaurant and the meal was fantastic, good quality of food and drink, and we was given a little token for our anniversary.

United KingdomThe room was smaller than expected and two adults would have had a hard time to have enough space, particularly in the bathroom, which was really only suitable for one person, with very little shelf space for toiletries. Bathroom also smelt mouldy, but no visible signs of mould.
Great public spaces, bar and restaurant with a lively feel. Loved having a window that opened ! It was spotlessly clean everywhere and staff friendly. Link to station was very handy.

United KingdomStayed here as we were seeing Peter Kay. We were upgraded on arrival which was a real treat. Our room was huge as was the bed. The staff on arrival were pleasant as were the evening shift staff. We didn't have breakfast as we like to sleep in. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfy. Most Hotels I've been in are cold in winter but the Queen was lovely. Best of all was walking in to the Hotel. You feel and and are treated like royalty.

United KingdomUnfortunately there is a lot of building work going on around the place which is a disadvantage at the moment. Also the light coming through the door was a bit annoying because I like a pitch black bedroom so it made it hard to fall to sleep.
The staff were friendly. The room was nice and clean although very small it felt cosy. it was easy to check in and out. In a great location. The pillows were super comfy. The bed was hard but I like a hard mattress so it was perfect for me. The curtains were very good for blocking out the light.

IrelandThey could have at least one vegan option on the 24h room service, we got back late from a festival and couldn't order anything. But we managed to order Deliveroo so in the end it was ok.
