Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesLots of steps and incline. Keep that in mind. Would be nice to have a hook in the bathroom for towels or robes. Also water sprays all over the bathroom during a shower
An incredible location with great service and breakfast. The view is absolutely stunning. Our room had all the amenities.

United StatesIt was not properly advertised! It appeared on the booking site that all the rooms had the private hot tub, when in fact you didn’t! It needs to be more specific on room type at booking!

United StatesParking was hard because there is a steep decline to reach the property. The sidewalk down to the hotel was slippery and I fell.
Our room overlooked the water off of a cliff—the view was outstanding.

IrelandNo complaints!
We went to Santorini in our honeymoon and the choice of the hotel couldn’t be better! The view from our room was insane! The breakfast was good and the staff were very kind and nice with us. They helped us to rent a car, with the places to eat as soon as we arrived because we were late because of the delay on our flight. The room was very comfortable and clean. There is a stairs to go up to leave the hotel, but I swear every single step worth. We are very glad and happy with all. Thank you so much you all, in special the reception girl that o forgot to get the name, but she is very polite and kind, willing to help. Thank you so much

United KingdomEverything was wonderful.
Kokkinos Villas were exceptional. We had a Caldera view and spa pool and it was stunning. Modern, clean, beautifully decorated, large storage, large bathroom, coffee and tea, table and a fridge. The staff were very warm and welcoming, very polite and very helpful, they answered questions we had, and booked some trips for us. The breakfast was outstanding you order it before 8pm the night before and its ready, hot and fresh when you come for breakfast. You can stick with the same choices or change. Good choice of food for breakfast. Breakfast us served in restaurant looking over the Caldera panoramic view! Stunning. Pool was clean, and looking out on the Caldera with sunbeds. A little chilly in October but that's to be expected. Highly recommend this hotel. If you're looking for a peaceful holiday, with a warm welcome, Kokkinos in Akrotiri is the place. We loved it and we're very sad to leave. More generally about Santorini Akrotiri is a small village with about 5 restaurants, 2 supermarkets. 1 pharmacy, and a couple of gift shops. Theres two ATM. Restaurants are lovely, varying in price and ambience, you should try them all. Food options a limited if you were a vegan, but we had vegetarians and pescatarians in our party and we ate really well. Our favourite was Portabella Restaurant. Visit Akrotiri ruins if you can it was walkable but you can also catch a bus. A visit to Oia and Fira is a bus journey away, you catch the bus outside the hotel. Both are rammed with tourists getting their souvenirs and insta photos, do try and go very early and avoid days where there are many cruise ships in, because thousands of people descend on these tiny villages. There are some lovely smaller villages to visit too, much more authentic, less crowded and pretty, Pygros and Megalochori are beautiful. Use the bus, it's much cheaper than cabs and you just have to ask how to get to places, the bus conductor will tell you were to get off and change.

BrazilThe hotel has no negative points, on the contrary, only highly positive points.
We were kindly welcomed by Antoni, the hotel manager, who helped us with our bags, he parked our car himself and showed us to the wonderful apartment with stunning views of the sea and the caldera. Internally it had all the amenities of a spacious bathroom and kitchen. He then gave us valuable instructions on places to visit and restaurants to eat. The complete breakfast with selected products from the region was always selected by us the day before. Every day the apartment was cleaned with care and bathroom and kitchen products were replenished. We will certainly return to this incredible hotel located in one of the best spots on the island, quiet as it is a certain distance from the noisy and crowded places of Oia and Imeroville and with a breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea and the caldera.

United StatesThe hill to go up and down from our room was definitely rough. Even though we thought we had prepared ourselves mentally and physically, we realized we had not. Besides the steep driveway/hill, everything else was perfect. Just be prepared with the right shoes and physical conditioning.
The staff and the area were great. Very helpful staff, quiet and peaceful part of the island. The view from our room was unmatched and the private pool/hot tub was definitely a perfect bonus. There was a great restaurant nearby and a market for basic needs. The bus stop was almost directly infront of the hotel which was also great.

What a beautiful hotel perched up on the coast of Santorini. Only a bus ride south of Fira, the town of Akrotiri itself was wonderful! Our room had beautiful views, easy access to the pool and great restaurants in town. It was a highlight of our trip!

United StatesEverything about our stay was wonderful. The location was beautiful. Sweeping views and set apart from the busyness of Fira and Oia. The hospitality was unmatched with a kind and thoughtful staff available to make the process of renting an ATV, securing transportation, or any other request essentially stress free. The daily breakfast was the best we have had with options for everyone. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this stay to everyone we know.

United StatesThe pool was a little chillier than we would have preferred but not freezing and it was still pleasant to sit out on the deck in the sun.
Perfect location for a panoramic view of the caldera. Cannot beat the views anywhere. From the rooms we could see Fira and Oia. The rooms were large and comfortable with a patio to sit outside and take in the views. Staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Quiet town away from the mobs of tourists but only 20 min drive to Fira. Quick walk to many excellent restaurants. Excellent breakfast served with great view. Pool deck has glass to block the wind.

Overall experience of the stay in villa was amazing. From the clean rooms, breathtaking view to super friendly staff and Mr. Antonis. I loved that it was not crowded with tourists like Oia and Fira. It is also convenient to travel to visit other towns as there's a bus stop right in front of the villa.

United StatesKokkinos Villas was an absolute dream. We knew we would love Santorini for our honeymoon but this really made our stay perfect. We LOVED staying in Caldera Bay instead of the very busy/touristy Oia or Thira. We felt like we had our own slice of heaven. The private pool and overlooking patio was absolutely the best view we have ever seen.

SingaporeThe staff were lukewarm and although the breakfast service was great, the demenaour of staff in general could be more welcoming. They refused to help you wheel our heavy luggage to the top of the hill. Room was great but lacked some facilities such as plates, iron in room. There was also no phone in room or way to contact the host and we had to go up the hill everytime to reception to ask for anything.
Beautiful room and exactly as per description. The view from the outdoor hot tub was excellent. Room was spacious and clean and breakfast was good.
