Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe booked 4 rooms together for 6 adults and 4 children. 2 of the rooms smelled damp and musty in Block 11. Family with the smaller children moved to block 12 which was a more modern, fresh room.
Location of the hotel was great, 7/11 across the road and lots of restaurants and shops within a short walk. Nearest beach about 10 mins walk ( with children). Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the pool bar staff. The pool was clean and warm, and there were always lots of sunbeds. There was a sheltered area which we used too with swinging seats. The breakfast was good, egg station cooked any type of egg while you waited. We didn't book breakfast but ate as walk-ins 5 out of 7 days...300thb for adults, 150 for the older children and the 2 and 4 year old were free. Enjoyed watching the monkeys from my balcony.

Indiathe free wi-fi was terrible and there were a couple of mosquitoes in the room. I had mosquito repellant so it wasn't a problem. Also, you can buy repellants from the 7-Eleven across.
Wonderful resort. Our stay was very comfortable. The breakfast was great. The rooms were very well appointed. The resort has thought of everything that one could need during the trip and supplied it in the room. From basic amenities like water, safety locker and personal care items to beach bags, umbrellas, beach mats and beach towels... there was even a weighing scale in the bathroom and a rack outside the room to dry wet clothes! it was great value for money and a very comfortable stay. I particularly loved the greenery and sustainability features. the location is superb too. There was a 7-Eleven and tour and cab organizers right outside. The beach, a host of restaurants and street food and shopping and even pharmacies were within a 3-5 minute walk.

MalaysiaWe didn't have any issues with the hotel as we already knew that they did not serve halal food for breakfast & that there was no elevators in the hotel. But just as a heads up to those looking to stay here, it is not a friendly hotel for guests with mobility issues as there are no lifts & the path to some of the rooms are quite steep (like a mini trek). We chose to stay at the premier room as it's in the same building as main lobby so our room was not far & wifi signal was great.
Spacious room at affordable price (it was low peak season). Location was awesome (but this is not a sea facing hotel). 7 eleven just across the lobby and just 5 mins walk to aonang beach which is just opposite to a street full of restaurants, shops, massage centres etc. I would say location is the strong point for this hotel. 😀

GermanyDirty & smelly room when we arrived Loud and hard to control AC Hotel has seen better days
Staying at Paksai was totally fine. Nothing reall, sticks out to being special or even superior to other place, but there are also not great things to criticise. Although the room is generally fine, it definitively has seen better days. When we arrived the room smelt and the sheets had, seemingly blood, stains on it. But the next day it was better. The pool is okay but not great. The breakfast is tasty but definetly not the best I've ever had Pretty good is the location. You have a 7-Eleven in front of the hotel and a super nice restaurant is right around the corner. But all in all just a mediocre experience.

AustraliaThe first day that we had breakfast they seemed to run out of food very quickly however they soon realised and on every other day there was more than enough food for everyone.
Pakasai resort were kind enough to upgrade our rooms so that my family could be closer together. The room was perfect with enough space and the bed was the most comfortable me and my husband have ever slept on. The pillows were so soft and the air con worked great to keep us cool. The pool area was big and had lots of different style of seating and it was great to have some seating under cover for when the rain set in. There is a bar at the pool and you can order food. There was a dining area downstairs near the entrane which was great for just chilling, reading and enjoying a drink if it rained etc. Staff were so beautiful and friendly and lastly the location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and main area od shops, restaurants, massage places etc.

United KingdomI felt that despite the layout of the room being fantastic, it all felt a little outdated and dusty. The linen and towels etc didn’t smell freshly washed, or at least not with a nice smelling detergent. The canopy over the bed (we had the honeymoon suite) felt and appeared dusty. We didn’t even find the slippers provided until we left! The bathroom was a bit outdated and could do with a new bath being fitted. There also were not many toiletries provided in terms of shower gel (our one by the bath was empty on arrival) or toothpaste, hair conditioner etc and only given 1 toilet roll….
The grounds of the hotel are fabulous, it’s like being amongst a jungle. The pool is great and very nice to look at. The room had a beautiful layout and the terrace was nice. The breakfast spread is fantastic and the restaurant where you eat breakfast is by a beautiful waterfall. It’s a very picturesque hotel and worth staying at! On reflection next time I would have taken the ground level rooms with the hot tub and terrace as it can be quite a climb if you have a room higher up!

TaiwanThe room is large but the hotel is quite old. The room didn’t seem extremely clean as there were cobwebs and dust. When they did daily cleaning the toilet rolls were not put on the roll ? (Very random indeed). There are many stairs so be prepared for that as you don’t know which level room you might get.
Good location with a 7/11 right across the road. A 7 minute walk to the beach with lots of vendors in between. Breakfast was great with MANY options!

United KingdomThe room was nice but the view from our balcony (where our outdoor bathtub was) was of an alleyway/back of houses/shop. It wasn’t very nice to look at, considering the rest of the resort is very nice.
The facilities were good, including the pool area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast options were good.
