Finding it is definitely a challenge the first time and watching the video is essential but uses data. That said, they did everything they could to help us find the hotel easily.

It is a clean, comfortable residence that is a short (4-5 min) walk to Jiufen walking street once you know the way. Air conditioning and dehumidifier all worked well and were necessary while we were there. Our communication with the butler was easy for all aspects of check-in, payment and check-out through WhatsApp. Instructional videos were helpful for everything!

I felt i am in Japan just by stayjng in the room. The bed its the most comfortable one that I ever had. Thank you for the efficiency responding messages and friendly staff. They help us organize and suggestion for the travel informations. We was plan for one night only then we stay three nights at the end. Highly recommand it.

The stairs (hahaha) and remember to bring handphone torchlight when going out at night. Not much streetlight provided.

Foremost, the view from Twilight House further up ( just a flight of stairs behind). A little cosy place to stay, just a short distance from the end of Jiufen Old Street. Not suitable for those who are travelling with big bags as you need to climb quite a number of stairs. Very informative host who shares places of interest and foodstalls recommendation, transportation and a good youtube to show the way to the place (Google map will brings you walking around and around as the house numbering uphill is scatter everywhere)

Ideas for improvement -check-in didn't work out smoothly as expected. There is no active reception but you have to contact he property manager. Which we did three times. Once in the morning , once one hour before arrival and once upon arrival. Nevertheless, we had to wait around 30 minutes for somebody to arrive and tell us the entry codes for the lobby and room. Why not just send us the codes by whatsapp or mail? This was a bit unpleasant bit besides this point everything was great -in the morning the whole room floor was wet..maybe there is some insulation issue with the building?

Very nice room, clean and comfortable. Once you’ve found your way to and from the hotel to the old street it’s only about 5-7 min. on foot to the latter, but it involves quite a few stairs.

The waypoint at the Google map is not accurate for the Japanese house. Breakfast is a let down.

Long climb up for the way to the guesthouse, but most of the guesthouse in Juifen have to climb,the wall too thin as we can hear the noise from other guests.

The guesthouse is very clean and provides free water. Staff is friendly, and she meets us at the guesthouse on a check-in date. As it training our shoes are wet fortunately they have the machine for drying our shoes.

Shower didn’t drain very well but was manageable. Quite a tight space so there was not a lot of room to keep our suitcases.

Staff were quick to respond and helped with contacting taxi before their office hours. Easy to get to and from Jiufen Old Street. Staff provided helpful email for directions on arrival and check in. Bed was comfortable

I better said that this place is beyond my expectations. The price is quite cheap compared to the facilities and location. If you look at the guidance video, it might look hard to find but there're a lot of signs that'll navigate you. The place locates very near the old street. Even the staff cannot speak English, but she is so professional in using Google Translate, so there' s no problem in communication. The staff' s responsive and also helped me to book the taxi to Ruifang station. I recommend to stay at this place!

It is walkable from bus stop to the hostel with big luggage but definitely not recommended. Take a taxi from the train station to save the trouble.

Location. Just don’t bring huge luggage. The path is difficult especially when raining. The room should have folding tables or small foldable chair, maybe some storage space as well. There’s no space to use a laptop.
