The bed was comfy, the view of the mountain was nice, it was quite large and spacious, we liked the access to the spa area, the pool was delightful, the host was very nice and helpful, they also got us cake and cava, which was very sweet. P.s. There's a really nice Italian restaurant right across the street which was also nice.

The location of the apartment could not be better. Right in the centre of Gibraltar, a two minute walking distance from Main Street amd the bars and cafes in this street. Entry system is very easy to use and room contains you need for a short break in Gib.
We never had any need to contact or meet any of the staff. As others have said. Great baker right across the road for getting some breakfast.

If going to Gibraltar, do not worry about currency or language as 99% of the places accept £ sterling even taxis and everyone speaks English. Getting about on the buses is very easy but they only take cash no cards

There are numerous activities to enjoy in Gibraltar.
There are numerous activities to enjoy in Gibraltar. It is steeped in history spanning over 300 years with a significant military presence over the last 100 years. Main Street has a Miriad of shops many of which are duty free with a specialisation in Jewellery, spirits and tobacco and many electronic shops which are extremely reasonably priced. Some great beaches, public transport system and fantastic sight to be seen and a most impressive environmental protection area on upper rock with some fantastic sights across the Gibraltar straights to Morocco, Spain and the Mediterranean.

As pensioners some of the steepness which we obviously expected was sometimes difficult but always a good bus/taxi service. Really pleased we visited and already planning to return near Christmas. Excellent shops and bars something for everyone together with very friendly residents/workers. The Rock Hotel was excellent with a view over the harbour,good food and top class service. We love the fact that you can walk to your accommodation from the airport if you so wish. We love the history of Gibraltar and the warmth and friendliness of the gibraltarians. Beaches , shopping marinas great restaraunts a charming square to sit and watch the world go. Awash with history and not forgetting the world famous rock and the resident maqaques. Gibraltar is small in size , and a keen walker like myself was able to cover almost the whole area on foot . Because of the time of year , the day trips to Morocco and Spain were not running . I did mean to travel to both , but as it was a "last minute" trip I didn't check on their availability . I visited many places of interest , and would definitely recommend taking the cable car up to the top of the rock . Set off early , and combine the nature reserve entry on your ticket . The rock itself is magnificent and the warm winter temperature was lovely. Travelling in January means far fewer tourists and no queues, which made visiting attractions easy. Similarly, getting into restaurants without reservations was no problem. Ideal for a history buff and a nature lover.
