I am blown away by the service we received. A special shout out to Desiree for being so accommodating throughout the entire booking process and for all the added extras.
The restaurants, the food, the live music, the quiet rooms... exceptional.

The breakfast is very simple, with few food options. We rented two rooms; one lacked a minibar, and the other room had a minibar that wasn't working. The hotel's architecture is very beautiful and impressive. However, inside the rooms, there are old-fashioned furnishings

This multi-coloured and complex African metropolis is the biggest city in South Africa and probably the living example of its much debated history. Johannesburg is not the capital of the country, but it represents its main economic hub, and is also the seat of the Constitutional Court.
Popularly known as Jo’burg, the city is constantly under renovation in all areas, allowing it to slowly but decidedly overcome its ‘Apartheid’ legacy. The Central Business District (CBD) alternates historic buildings with skyscrapers and a lively nightlife. Suburbs like Melville, Newtown or Rosebank have a bohemian atmosphere. With some of the best Johannesburg hotels, Sandton City and Hyde Park are modern residential and shopping areas.
Get to know South Africa’s history at Constitution Hill, the Apartheid Museum, and the Hector Pieterson Museum. Natural areas like the UNESCO World Heritage Site ‘Cradle of Humankind’, the Lion Park Nature Reserve, or the Krugersdorp Nature Reserve are located outside the city.
OR Tambo International Airport is the largest airport in Africa, while the smaller Lanseria Airport offers connections to mainly domestic destinations. Hotels near Johannesburg’s airport are a popular choice to avoid the last-minute rush. Check out the wide range of Johannesburg accommodation deals available on Booking.com.
The city of Gold in essence is just that! You can experience every single emotion in Joburg! the euphoria! I can never get enough of Joburg, from its busyness, to the rich history and the multi cultural integration

Gauteng as a province is the economic hub of South Africa and when looking to do business this would be the province to go to.
While for leisure there are many venues, hotels, and natural beauty to view and enjoy.

Two things are equally true: I love this city; it's a hard place to love. And it's become harder to love since I lived there 20 years ago, with things like consistent water and electricity no longer taken for granted. Driving there is a special kind of adrenaline rush (especially downtown), crime remains endemic, and the city is just crumbling. But it's also an incredibly friendly, diverse, culturally vibrant place. I go to Cape Town for beautiful views of the mountains and the sea; I go to Johannesburg to see old and dear friends and make new ones.

I like Joburg a lot but I stay in the northern suburbs.
I like Joburg a lot but I stay in the northern suburbs. That is really the secret to Joburg in my opinion is just stay in the suburbs around the mansions. There are tons of bars and restaurants and it’s very green. I really enjoyed going on walks because it is so beautiful. Just don’t walk alone after dark (same as anywhere else in SA) and you should have no problems

It was too pretty, very organized, and neat, everyone kept saying it was because I was in the posh area but I only chose to see the good in SA because it was just too fine especially since it was in Africa, I also found the whole of SA quite modern having traveled to so many places. I only feel sad I didn't explore the tourist attractions nor nightlife

I love everything about Johannesburg there are big luxurious shopping malls the hotels are luxurious the hotels are big there's just traffic during rush hours and we should avoid those times my favourite place is sandton and Gold Reef City I eat at Syrian rose in fordsburg its a Syrian restaurant its really nice I would avoid travelling during rush hours like 6/7/8/9 in the morning 12/1 in the afternoon and 5/6 in the evening those are the rush hours.
This is a very beautiful hotel, we were located in room 212 on the first floor, with two double beds, I was traveling with my mother. Breakfast was good with plenty of selections from buffet or a la carte menu, rooms and beds comfy, staff were super friendly and always willing to help you out. I will stay again for sure. right next to Montecasino with restaurants and small shops, about 20 minute drive outside Johannesburg and fourways mall is 5 minute drive away for more shopping. For a 5 star hotel it was very affordable and 5 star service.
Villa Via is a complex of quality apartments that are safe and secure within a walled and electrified compound with on site security. I have stayed here several times and it is a very safe place to stay, safer than any hotel where the public can walk in. I travel for business and the support services here are excellent including personal laundry and the apartments are large and well furnished with good light and trees outside. Thank you Villa Via for another great stay, my home away from home in Sandton Johannesburg.
This hotel is one of the best we have stayed at so far. It effortlessly exceeds the last two 5 star hotels we stayed at, which was really a pleasant surprise. The location is excellent - in the middle of the city but with peace and quiet that we haven't experienced except at places rather far from the city. The suite was excellent - roomy and very well appointed. This is one of the few places where the bathroom was spotless when we arrived.
We intend coming back here as we really enjoyed it.
The hotel is very secure located just next to the police station and near Rosebank mall to cater for all your shopping needs. Very specious hotel at a good price.
The breakfast was amazing so many options and they make the best omelet.
Staff were nice and very helpful.
They cook very good food and we really loved stake at the Grill restaurant.
They also have a nice gym.
Perfect airport hotel. We stayed here our first night after arriving to South Africa after a long travel, and flying onwards towards Kruger the next day. Good restaurant and nice, spacious rooms. Very nice staff. Free airport transfer. Good breakfast buffet.
The hotel is not in the city center so it’s not a good place if you want to explore Johannesburg!
1.) Great Front Desk Reception
2.) Excellent Internet
3.) Easy Access Hotel; the easiest I've experienced in South Africa
4.) Exceptionally clean and modern bathrooms;
5.) Great personnel in the restaurant
6.) Many electrical outlets
7.) Nice view from room
8.) Great location
9.) Adequate TV stations
The service was great with plenty of staff present. The breakfast selections were the best I have encountered during my visit to South Africa. The hotel room was large and well appointed design. Loved the mix of modern with traditional colors and themes.
We were pleasantly surprised with our stay and will definitely come back when we’re next in Johannesburg. The rooms, staff and food were exceptional. A true 5 star hotel which surpasses most of the big brand hotels up the road in Sandton.
Really good room with one of the best views of Johannesburg. Outstanding bathroom. Probably one of the best quality-price places I have ever been in Johannesburg (And I have been in more than 25 hotels there). Good breakfast included.
The hotel is central. While not suitable for walking, it is a short distance to great restaurants, highways, the airport etc. The gardens and pool are beautiful, this place is really good value for the Johannesburg area.
I had the best time at the rooftop pool and the Skye Bar. Beautiful views. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very centrally located and close to everything in Sandton. Great value dor money.
Breakfast was great, very friendly chef. The view from our room was amazing, right over the Sandton CBD. It was easy to get around the area due to the centrality of the hotel. Overall we had a lovely time.
This is a great hotel from A to Z and will be my new go-to when visiting JHB. Close to the airport but away from all the noise and hassle of hotels right at the airport.
The hotel staff was exceptional! The facilities are lovely and the food was delicious, but the warm and engaging staff made our visit to Johannesburg truly memorable.
