I visited the Farmers Market which was fun. I also had a takeaway meal of blue cod, oysters and homemade chips from Best Cafe. The meal was amazing.
I visited a part of the Botanic gardens which was lovely and watched a women’s rugby game at Opoho, just above the Gardens. We were treated to beautiful weather and a large flocks of wood pigeons!

It was very cold, but luckily it didn't rain and where we've stayed our heatpump was amazing. Dunedin is beautiful with very old beautiful buildings and lots of noisy students walking in the main streets until very late talking very loud and kicking rubbish bins.

We just stayed one night on our way to Stewart island as we have been here many times.
We did a trip to Port Chalmers as we hadn’t been there. It a a cute town with a working port. Worth a look and a bit of a walk around.
This hostel is central to Dunedin, so you do not have to walk far to the restaurants and bars in the Octagon. The hostel sits over a large bar with a lot of billiard tables. Seems very popular with the locals and college students studying at the nearby University of Otago. The dorm rooms are typical bunk bed layouts with budget twin mattresses. The bathrooms were reasonably clean and a decent kitchen area. They have free breakfast, but it is a pretty minimal offering.
The hotel was well situated - convenient to walk into central Dunedin, and close to restaurants. The owners of the hotel were very friendly and helpful - provided lots of advice about places to visit and where to eat.
We were also able to use the washing machine and dryer which was very handy.
Our bed was comfortable and the room well appointed.
Definitely recommend as a place to stay in Dunedin.
The apartment was immaculate. There was both washer and dryer in the unit. The host left some bread, peanut butter, and jelly, as well as some apples and milk for coffee. This was important to us since we arrived in Dunedin late and had difficulty finding parking and a place to eat (see what we didn't like below).
great location walking distance to centre of Dunedin.
stayed in the large two bedroom suite.
modern mini home.
quiet even with NYE celebrations happening around town.
SMS received first thing next morning to see what we needed done for the room as this was a self check hotel with no staff on site.
room was large and equipped well. very clean. close to everything - we walked the city and did not need to drive.
bed was comfortable.
the hotel staff was incredible. Barry and Donna were gracious and friendly. they made us feel as if we were guests in their home.
Location to centre of Dunedin - very walkable but uphill on the way home :>) Good CV work out! Good parking - the only not so good thing was the smell of cooking oil filtering through the room/s from the kitchen / restaurant. Hotel good otherwise.
Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful from when I came in and when I checked out very early in the morning. Hotel location is awesome, very close to the CDB and most tourist attractions around Dunedin. Wifi worked great
Walking into complete luxury! Hotel was beautiful. The furnishings were stunning, the bed was heavenly beautiful linen, pillows and comfort was exceptional! The bathroom was just luxurious.
Everything was just stunning!
Well situated Motel right in heart of Dunedin. Hotel Manager very cheerful and helpful. Good parking right outside units. Units very well equipped especially kitchen. Very clean. Laundry facilities available.
Beautifully appointed in soothing blue-gray tones. Pristine, well maintained, modern, perfection. Loved the jacuzzi tub, monogrammed linens and bathrobes. Best hotel in all NZ so far. Loved our 3 night stay at BG!
Excellent location, Comfortable and spacious room and friendly staff.
The airport shuttle to Dunedin serves this location. If you are traveling to/from the airport to this hotel it helps to save a lot of money.
Location: easy walking to shops and University Graduation Ceremony. I have some mobility problems and the location of the Hotel made it easier for me to walk to places.
