Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport, hotel in Tokyo

Set in Tokyo and connected to Haneda Airport International Passenger Terminal, Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport offers accommodation with a bar and private parking.

Ideal location for pre-departure or after arriving at Haneda Airport. All the staff are very polite and helpful. And top floor Onsen is a bonus and it was so relaxing especially after carrying heavy bags and pushing suitcase. There are many choices for breakfast, too.

APA Hotel & Resort Ryogoku Eki Tower, hotel in Tokyo

Located in Tokyo, 200 metres from NTT Docomo History Square, APA Hotel & Resort Ryogoku Eki Tower provides accommodation with a fitness centre, private parking, a garden and a restaurant.

Nice location, great for those who want to avoid hustle&bustle of the center, though a train/metro station is 4 min walk only. Amazing spa! As for meals, if you stay for like a week, breakfast and dinner can bore you as dishes are completely the same aaalll the days, no variety. As for a standard single/double room - can be small even for 1 person. No wardrobe or shelves.

Conveniently situated within a 3-minute walk from Shinbashi and Shiodome stations, The Royal Park Iconic Tokyo Shiodome is modern and stylish accommodation.

Pleasant hotel, comfortable good sized room and comfortable bed. Clean. Clearly a business hotel, so not as touristy but still with good subway access via Shiodome and Shimbashi. Local eateries in the subway, but a bit quiet at the weekend. Staff helpful and staff there 24/7 for check-in in the early hours.

FAQs about hotels in Tokyo

See It to Believe It!

The capital of Japan, Tokyo is a vast, teeming metropolis nestled between mountains and Tokyo Bay. It’s so huge that you’ll have to come to grips with public transport and maybe even experience being pushed onto a train. Yes, it does actually happen!

Get your bearings by ascending the Tokyo World Trade Centre near the waterfront, and savour the fantastic views taking in the red-and-white Tokyo Tower and Shinkuju’s skyscrapers. North is Ueno, home to the best museums (including the Tokyo National Museum) and a large park bursting with cherry blossom in spring.

Equally tranquil are the Chiyoda Imperial Palace and Gardens, surrounded by water. Also in gardens is the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya, a youthful district where neon abounds.

For more traditional Japanese culture, head to Asakusa whose Sensō-ji Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple. Markets in the grounds sell a variety of wares, though shopping in Tokyo is, of course, fantastic wherever you go.

Whether you stay in a Japanese ryokan, luxury Tokyo hotel or a hostel, don’t fly out of Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport without having tried sushi. Another Japanese institution is the sento (public bath) and onsen (hot springs bath) – a must try. Also incredibly popular are Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Asia’s 2 most visited theme parks.

    I loved Tokyo.

I loved Tokyo. This city has a pulse and there is so much to do all the time, all over the city. Even at night when most businesses close, the konbini are still bustling, attractions are lit up and there are people enjoying the night life. I spent almost two weeks here and I feel like I could spend three or four times longer and still not see and do everything I wanted to. I love this city.

Tokyo is a very big experience but I would not want to repeat it. It is very busy and many the sights are overcrowded with tourists. If you eat typical Japanese food there are plenty of cheap restaurants in most areas but there are quite a number of more expensive international restaurants. The subway system gets you about the city quickly but it is not for beginners . If you stay more than a few days, get yourself a transport card. It will be invaluable. I would recommend that an independent traveller should say near a station on the Yamanote line as this is a circular loop which visits many of the important areas. Smaller cities might provide a more +

The city is so huge and vibrant.

The city is so huge and vibrant. There's just so much to see and experience and eat that we found we ran out of time. We also went to Tokyo last (after we'd been to all other cities in Japan) so by the time we were there we were kinda tired to really properly explore and were already looking forward to going home. But it made us realise that we definitely need to come back and give more love to Tokyo because it deserves it. Favourite places: Shibuya / Shinjuku / Oeno park Food: Ramen!!! Just have as much as you can! Easy to get around, the metro is really convenient, fast and the best way to travel around Tokyo. Things to avoid: Don't come to Tokyo on your last leg of the holiday, it probably should be one of the first places you visit.

This was our 3rd trip to Tokyo, and we look forward to going back. There are so many different areas with their unique experiences and atmosphere - something for everyone. We stayed in Ginza, Shibuya, Odaiba, and Roppongi. It is NOT expensive! Food is easy to find in all price ranges and types: we enjoyed ramen, sushi, Indian, fast food, Italian…and there was more to choose from. Lodging can also be in all price ranges - and while the reasonable hotels may have smaller rooms - in our experience they are clean, comfortable, and have good service. Transportation is also inexpensive and easy to navigate with Google maps, and also by looking at maps in the stations. USE the luggage transport companies! Dragging luggage in the streets or in train stations is not fun. So, in short - a mix of old and new. Something for everyone. Easy, inexpensive transportation. Food of all types in all price ranges. Lodging of all types and price ranges. Friendly respectful people. Love it there!

We have been twice in Tokyo, each time approx. 4 days and we are hoping to go back. There are so many options for shopping, eating, cultural activities, and short trips outside the city for more outdoor experiences. The transportation system is very organized, we had no problem finding our way and although the city is big and has a large population, we found people very friendly. Tokyo, like the whole country, is very clean and in general we felt very satisfied with our stay.

Close to the Shinjuku station, so very easy to access. Typical entertainment area - the famous Godzilla statue cinema is around the corner. The hotel's lounge area is perfect for an otaku: mangas, anime DVDs all over the shelves. The hotel part very clean, less noisier than other capsule hotels. The capsule is plastic, a little bit noisy when you hit accidentally. The bed is fine...but the pillow is super old school japanese hard pillow...but within few minutes you can find out how to use to be comfy.

Our room was absolutely stunning with a picturesque view of Tokyo. The bed was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed using the extras provided within the room (robes, toiletries, tea selections). My husband and I also enjoyed using the hotel’s fitness center during our stay. We had ordered room service during our stay and were very impressed by the quality of the food and timing of delivery. Great location just next to the Oedo train line. There’s a 711 just downstairs next through past the restaurant and spa. Room (triple) was spacious. Our flight was delayed and we rushed to meet the 12am check-in. The staff were still there when we got there at 12:10. Love that there is a real hotel entrance with a driveway as we rented a car and this made it easier to load luggage. Many hotels in Japan don’t have this and driving and parking is a challenge.

We booked this on a whim as we wanted to extend our Tokyo trip one more day. Price was about 30% less expensive than the previous hotel we booked but my husband and I both agreed it was A LOT BETTER than the pricier hotel. Amenities were plenty and we also got a free room upgrade. Superior room gave us a nice view of the city and Tokyo Sky tree! VOD was also free! Location was perfect and really close to Asakusa station. We will definitely come back here! ❤️

Akasaka is a brilliant place to stay. Beautiful little area of Tokyo that has a convenient subway station down the street and fantastic restaurants and bars etc. We liked that it had everything we needed but it was quieter but with great access to the nearby hotshots of Shibuya and Shinjuku. This hotel is modern and clean and the staff were lovely. Loved the pyjama's and it was well priced in comparison to other similar hotels in Japan. We would stay again.

The hotel has a large sign that makes it easy to see from the street. The beds are harder than western ones, which seems to be typical here at least in business hotels, but are still comfortable and large enough for two people. My husband is 6’ 1” and the bed was long enough for him. we really liked how clean the room was. The staff were extremely helpful and check in and check out both went smoothly. We would stay here again.

I actually liked the location as it's well located by the metro station and it's midway between Shibuya/Shinjuku to the west and Asakusa to the north east. The area around the hotel is quiet and corporate but if you walk around you will discover a fair few bars/restaurants about 10 minutes away. Rooms were spotless and had a Japanese style bath and coffee capsules were provided everyday. The rooftop onsen was a welcome touch

Compared to the hotels in the center of Tokyo (Ginza/Tokyo station/Shibuya), the cost performance is excellent. Perfect for tourists.

Hotel is new (Feb 2023), good location close to transportation. Onsen was very nice and clean. Great if you’re traveling solo. Good price compared to other hotels in Tokyo. I enjoyed the stay at Apa. beware regarding the address as there a 3 Apa hotels in the area.

The location of this hotel was prime! Very close to shinjuku station and local metro lines. The breakfast gave you a variety of option to fill you up. Rooms here are larger than you would find in other tokyo hotels but they ate still on the small side.

Staff was really kind and the hotel is located in a very beautiful and more quiet area of Tokyo which is still just a few stops on the Yamanote Line from the very busy areas like Shibuya/Shinjuku.

It's so cheap. It's nice to stay to in capsule hotels like this because you wouldn't have to be lying down all day. This will force you to check out all the tourist spots in Tokyo.

Great and very safe location to enjoy Shinjuku nightlife! I would recommend it only for 1-2 nights as there is no much privacy being a capsule hotel, it is very functional
