The location, it is in the only centre. The area is very safe and the hotel is adjacent to a shopping mall with a large grocery store, Spa and lots of curios stores. The hotel staff also made is “birthday plates” for both breakfast and dinner. It was a very nice touch to a special celebration In Windhoek👌. There are plenty of seating areas especially the roof top bar with the most magnificent views of the city. Very flexible and friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay in Windhoek and will go back to Avani Hotel Windhoek!

I was born in Namibia, we revisited this time to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, attending a service at the Christuskirche on top of the hill. It's a clean and easy place with lots to see.

Windhoek is the most beautiful , clean city with many lovely places to give you a taste and pleasant stay in Namibia. However, one bad experience such at poor customer service at Hilton Hotel can be a turn off for the rest of your stay. In fact you will forced to cut change for hotels if you came on a business trip and you could easily cut your holiday short.
There are many more hotels/places with good offer/value for money, better customer services and comfort stay. In my option, definitely not Hilton hotel. I booked out the next day and enjoyed the rest of my business trip in a cheapest hotel, good customer care in short small but might.

Windhoek has a long colonial history, with interesting museums, galleries and landmarks. The natural history museum was my favourite.
The landmark German Lutheran Church, in the centre of town, is a wonderful place to visit.
It has too many restaurants to mention, but Joe's Beerhouse is the best. The variety of meats on offer, the atmosphere, the decor, absolutely everything is just so incredibly awesome! A MUST for any visitor to Windhoek.
One can easily get a cab, similar to Uber, called Lefa, which is extremely quick to respond and take you wherever you need to go.
Next time I would avoid being coaxed into taking a local taxi off the street, as the operators are mostly unreliable drivers and one can end up in dangerous areas such as the very poor locations.

its a quiet and beautiful place, the people are just friendly as if were from same country or house! On the price just add breakfast on it if possible and reduce price of food if someone wants to order!
This hotel was truly above my expectations. The hotel staff was very, very helpful and pleasant and lovely.
We were upgraded to the Aloe Suite, which was a wonderful surprise and exceptionally comfortable in every way. The restaurant was beautiful with great food. The choice of buffet or a la carte was nice, however, if you order from the menu, be prepared for a very, very long wait for your food. I would highly recommend this hotel in every way. A special thanks to Beulah English at reception who helped us with an unfortunate double booking.
The apartment was perfect. Great location, immaculately clean and it had absolutely everything you would wish for; like a very well equipped kitchen, big fridge, wash machine and an iron.
The bed was so comfortable, with memory foam mattress and big curtains that blocked light out for a restful sleep.
But what really make the place are the wonderful hosts that went out of their way to make us feel at home.
If we can get a spot there next time( they are very booked for obvious reasons) we will always stay there when we visit Windhoek.
The quality of services rendered was 100%
The staff members, guest, owner and everyone on the property was so friendly and kind.
I applause the quality of services rendered.
The property is absolutely memorable.
I felt so at home and enjoyed the quick conversations with the staff. They were absolutely professional and know how to treat guest.
I hope that each person will prosper in their own life's. Thanks for making my few days in Windhoek, a dream come true. I will definitely come back again.
Great location right next to the city center. Excellent for an overnight stay if you have a long journey through Windhoek. In two weeks of traveling, we stopped here three times and did not regret it even once.
The tents have very comfortable heated beds, good for cold nights. There are showers and toilets nearby. The bar has very tasty food and daily specials. Overall a very cozy place at a good price.
This hotel, about 1 km from the town centre in Windhoek, is an excellent choice. Large rooms (all with balcony or terrace), large beds of excellent quality, refrigerator, very good shower. Rooms are very clean and tidy. Location is in a side street of the big B1-road, hence it is quiet and safe. Breakfast is not in the hotel itself, but in the Stellenbosch-restaurant just opposite the street.
I booked one of the tents they had on the property and it was very comfy (even providing a heating pad, because it was COLD outside!) and a way to lock my tent so that my stuff was safe. The staff and restaurant were great and Urban camp was centrally located in the city and nearby nearly anything you would need to start or end a trip! Would stay here again next time I’m back in Namibia!
Schalk is a very good host. He picked me up by the busstation. Arranged for me to go to Swakopmond and shared information about Namibia and Windhoek.
There is a garden and a common space. Even a small pool.
Its an easy walk into town. The neighbourhood is quiet.
Good breakfast as well and the housekeeper is always around.
Schalk thank you for everything.
Super helpful staff who do their best to make everything smooth and easy for guests.
Clean, spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Hotel seems to have all services /include on site pcr testing possibility/ you need before your departure. The location is close to everything and parking is safe.
I cannot imagine better place to stay in Windhoek
Very nice self-catering accommodation in Windhoek. Location was great with secured parking. Washing machine very handy which helps when travelling light. Very good communication with host with very clear instructions. Very large shopping mall nearby for all you need. Only 5 minutes by car to Christuskirche (city centre)
Excellent choice for our stay in Windhoek ! Great location, very cosy and nice dinners. I would like to thank the staff for the excellent work and in particular the help to get back the laptop we had forgotten in our hotel of Swakopmund ;) ! Five stars support ! Thank you again and keep up the excellent work !
Modern apartment and appliances. Spacious and very clean and very convenient to the heart of Windhoek. Graeme was very helpful for all our questions. This was the perfect place for us to plan our next 1-2 weeks to Etosha Park and onwards to Victoria falls.
The hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood and has a marvelous view over Windhoek. My room was spacious with a lounge and desk area - I could have easily stayed longer. Will definitely be back.
Perfect hotel for one night after we flew into the capital, very central location and such a nice breakfast. Views of the city were epic, and great value for money!
