Only the manager speaks English, it was then hard to communicate my needs with the other crew members of the hotel but I do speak a little and understand so I kind of made it ! And well, they were adorable. I think it is the most important. And they upgraded me for free in a beautiful bedroom with a magnificent front beach view.

I almost feel guilty raving about this place because even though Egyptians know about it and have been coming for decades, there are relatively few foreign tourists. This has allowed Marsa Matruh to retain its unique cultural authenticity, with its delightful Bedouin hospitality and scrupulously honest people. I hope it won't be invaded soon by too many foreign tourists. Avoid coming in July and August. The best months are May, early June, September and October. It's simply paradise.

The sea is the best along north coast however beaches and the provided service are not as good
If you care about the quality of stay you need to visit private beaches yet expect not to be satisfyingly served
Water facilities are not the best too
If you like local markets you will like the city if not i don't recommend as it's too crowded in high seasons

Marsa Matrouh city presents a compelling alternative to the North Coast due to its affordability and the abundance of beautiful, pristine beaches. In addition, there is a wide range of activities to enjoy and delectable cuisine to savor. I highly recommend considering Matrouh, particularly for families seeking an enjoyable vacation destination.

Avoid in summer.
Avoid in summer. Best beaches ever, but try in September end, as in summer it gets super crowded, annoying and not enjoyable at all. City needs lot of development and investors to build nice and affordable resorts.

Marsa Matruh itself which is 35km from the hotel we were staying at is a den for Islamic fundamentalists, salafis and moslem brotherhood. It is not a place to be visited. Jazz hotel is in Almaza Bay which is totally separate from Marsa Matruh.
The staff are very helpful and hospitable by nature... a fine representation of the renown Egyptian hospitality.
The Hotel is part of a 5+ hotels resort with great landscaping and a wide variety of restaurants all accessible to guests of any hotel within the property.
The Beach is exceptionally amazing; Turquoise blue waters, clean and soft white sands, water sports, music vibes, food & beverage served, and even celebrating kids' birthdays by the beach.
The pools were just a cherry topping.
Emad is exceptional! He made me feel so comfortable, helped me with food, transportation, accommodation and tours. The view is amazing from the bedroom and the rooftop during breakfast. Everything was great in regards to my stay at this hotel and I have absolutely no complaints. It’s a bit of a cold season at the moment and they even have heating in the room so I loved it it so much and slept very well.
Alamaza bay is one of the best beaches on the North coast. Crystal clear, calm, and long stretch of white sand.
The hotel is big, and has some amazing views, and a lot to offer. Jazz almaza was the first to open in a complex of 5 hotels. You can always pick other ones and I honestly recommend either Tamerina or Oriental.
Food is ok.
Very friendly and hard working staff.
Overall I had a great stay
Service is excellent ,all rooms are sea view , weather is good, sea and sand are Crystal ,
really We enjoyed a lot our stay & the food and drinks offered by hotel
also we liked the activities offered by hotel and entertainment team at the sea and swimming pool
I witness that all team working there are honest and dedicated to offer you better service and make you happy
Simple hotel with unintentional character and vintage feel. No bugs or mosquitoes. Good cool room temperature in the height of summer. Excellent Iocation and space with big balcony overlooking the sea right on the corniche in the centre. Clean beds and modern clean shower and toilet and toiletries. Great Egyptian music always coming through window
You have access to all Jaz hotels in the area, you are allowed to use any swimming pool over there not only Tamerina’s swimming pool , the family room is quite big fits 2 adults and 2 kids , the beds are really comfy .. The open buffet has varieties and the taste of the food is really good .
Will definitely go there again next summer
Spacious rooms, beautiful surroundings, calm, wonderful restaurants, excellent staff and cleanliness. Can access other Jazz hotels on the same beachfront, facilities are truly excellent, many things to do in the evening and lovely long walks on the main connecting beachfronts.
