It is a very warm and welcoming place. The owner Susi is lovely and greeted us personally at the reception. Her husband Chris runs the attached Minuteman Pizzaria where you find the best pizza in town. Probably in the whole of Bolivia. The location is perfect just 100 meters from the bus stop and even closer to the main part of the town. Rooms are clean and nice. Would be more than happy to stay here again.

An unforgettable experience! My stay at Hotel de Sal Atipax was nothing short of extraordinary. The unique architecture made entirely of salt, coupled with impeccable service, created a truly magical atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully designed, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploring the stunning salt flats. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. I highly recommend Hotel de Sal Atipax to anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind stay in Bolivia!

After a 3 day Salt Flats and Bolivia tour we booked this hotel last minute as we were exhausted and didn't want to catch the bus that night. The beds were so comfortable! A big thick doona (blanket), it was great having a big TV to watch and unwind.
Bathroom was great with a hot shower!
Location was a short stroll into town for dinner!
We were asked if we were married for matrimonial bed and with the language barrier I said no so were provided with two single beds haha but that was on me and probably could have swapped if we asked.
Breakfast was self serve - not a huge amount of options but there was enough!

Rooms were spacious and well furnished. Staff were friendly, and there was a good range of food for the complementary breakfast. I didn't need it, but they also provide a room heater to help with the cold.
It's not a five star hotel, but for the price it is a good, solid option.

Salar is just an amazing place, a wonder the Word! Both when dry, as well as when flooded.
Uyuni town very ugly, avoid it is possible, full of dirty roads and dirt in the air, if you are sensitive or allergic, do not go downtown and stay in one of the 3 nicests salt hotels in the Salar outside town.
Best restaurant in town is Tika, in the hotel Jardin of Uyuni (nice hotel too)

No matter what season (dry or wet)you go to Uyuni, you will see amazing views. But I recommend dry season since you will have chance to see both wet area and “beautiful” dry area. And for the starlight tour, you’ll see beautiful stars without clouds!

Uyuni came at the end of our San Pedro de Atacama - Uyuni...
Uyuni came at the end of our San Pedro de Atacama - Uyuni private tour (3 days-2 nights) that was exceptional, so not much left to see around the small city except the people and plazas, although the small museum on the army base was very interesting and informative, as recommended by Chris. We stayed three nights and found the hotel clean and very well located to walk around.
The restaurant, and more specifically Chris, was outstanding catering breakfast on a jazzy note and offering delicious pizzas by evening.
Our room didn't have natural light nor a view, nor a closet, hooks nor hangers which made things a little complicated in our case, since we had some heavy luggage. Everybody at the hotel was most helpful and I would definitly recommend staying there.

Uyuni Salt Flats has been on our bucket list for years and we were super excited to visit. It exceeded our expectations and will return soon. It is easy to get around the town. If you want to explore the salt flats and the Andes it's best to hire a tour guide. We had the best 7 days in and around Uyuni. We dined at Tika, Tacuru, and local vendors. The food was delicious and filling. Our favorite places were the salt flats and exploring the Andes.

Small derelict little town which wouldn’t be as busy if it wasn’t for the world famous salt flats. However, there are many restaurants and bars to accommodate tourists as well as a bus terminal and an airport. A must if you’re in South America.
Hotel Rey David was an easy walk to the center of Uyuni. Lovely room with big private bathroom. Quiet, even with windows facing the street. Plenty of hot water for the shower. Room was heated at night. Very helpful front desk staff. My compliments to the breakfast chef. Best sunny-side-up eggs I think I've ever had. She has a bright and welcoming personality to match. Thanks Hotel Rey David for a great stay in Uyuni.
Lovely small hotel with friendly staff. Popular with overland vehicles. Great breakfast. Good shower. We booked to return here after a 3 day trip to the salt flats but there was some kind of mix up. They went out of their way to drive us across town to a more expensive hotel for the same price, and were very apologetic. Also had our clean laundry waiting. Good customer service!
this hotel is so so comfortable. it’s a great place to rest after an Uyuni tour. I got here and didn’t leave until my bus the next morning. speaking of morning, the breakfast is incredible- great coffee, various kinds of eggs and juices, pancakes and fruit. there are real heaters (not space) in the rooms and the hot water is hot.
-- Staff ix exceptionably welcoming and helpful!
-- Beds are very comfortable and are provided with electric heaters.
-- Breakfast and use of pool are included -- given very reasonable price of stay as is, these add even more to a great value.
-- Great quality hotel compared to everything else we saw in town.
The owner of this brand-new hotel in Uyuni is also the owner of Andrea Tours, so we received a very well-integrated, top-notch service on the whole trip to Salar de Uyuni and Eduardo Avaroa National Park. Highly recommended combo! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and warm, and the breakfast excellent.
The hotel is very nice and comfortable, with floor heating and a good shower. It’s a great place to stay after a Sud Lipez / Uyuni tour. It’s well located near restaurants and cafes. There’s a laundry service which isn’t particularly cheap but they got us our clothes cleaned and dried on the same day.
We decided to book in to the Hostal Sin Fronteras after our 3 day trip from San Pedro across the Salar de Uyuni. We needed somewhere to rest up before we caught an overnight bus to La Paz. It was the perfect place for this. Very affordable, clean and in a great location. I would rebook again.
In a godforsaken town like Uyuni, where there are only dirt roads and hardly any decent hotel, Cristales de Sal is like a pearl in desert. I stayed there one night after visiting the Salar de Uyuni. Clean, spacious room, good shower, good breakfast, couldn't expect for more.
Very nice and tidy, rooms were clean and beds super comfortable. There's also lockers inside the rooms to keep belongings safe (bring your own locks). Breakfast was really really good, I'd recommend everyone visiting Uyuni to give this place a try.
Based on what we saw in the area, the hotel is one of the most comfrotable and organized. It had a comfy bed, warm shower and a heater! Being able to walk shoesless in a warm floor after days in the cold rural areas of Bolivia, felt great!
The hotel is generally ok, especially for its money. The staff was very friendly and flexible: they checked us in very early, at 7 am! Also, they allowed us to check out much later, and we are extremely grateful for that.
the hotel was extremely clean and the owner Cesare was very friendly and helpful.
room was a good size and the shower was powerful and hot. from what I’ve seen, this was definitely the best hotel in Uyuni!
Large room with comfortable beds and hot water. Well located and helpful staff. Best pizza in Uyuni! The restaurant is a hub for travelers and the owners are super nice and helpful.
Breakfast was great - one of the best we’ve had in Bolivia. Liked that we were tucked away - was quite quiet. We liked the location and found the staff really friendly too.
The hotel is well maintained and decorated. The room were beautiful and spacious. The people were very friendly and the breakfast was various and in sufficient quantity.
I had a spacious room, built with blocks of salt, delicious breakfast, friendly staff, hot water with strong pressure, it is one of the best places I stayed in Bolivia.
The breakfast was the standard Bolivia hotel breakfast, so that was OK. They looked after my suitcase for three days, so that was good. It was cheap and functional.
