A most photogenic, vibrant and historic city. Plenty of eating places and cars. A superb and remarkably cheap metro system is the best way to move around, with much to visit in and out of the city. Surprised at the number of English speaking tours and guides. Would I go back?. . . .Yes.

We had a 3 hour walking tour on first day. This was excellent ( would recommend), discovered places of interest, restaurants and importantly the history of your beautiful city. This set us up for our trip. Would recommend taxis to get around, not expensive. Really enjoyed old town, bit touristy but we were selective about eating establishments. A safe city, locals always helpful . Try Papila Restaurant, Maria is a gem … Caru Cu Bere … the real Romania experience Mom’s … Steak, Burgers , Salmon ..something for everyone .. everything delicious .. There are interesting museum in Bucharest and the old town should be worth visiting in the coming years when rehabilitation works would be finished (a lot to do). We enjoy our coach trip to Peles and Bran castles and went by train to the Black sea (Constanta).

Bucharest is good and historical place. Metro , bus and Tram is every where so that you dont need to walk more and more. Lots of Churches , resturant and the best one is OLD Bucharest town. After 9 PM, the place changes completly into different world.. The issue is with the langugae. The Govt official at Bus , Metro and Train station does not understand English very well so tourist will struggle a lot so ensure you have good translator for your conversation. Being Capital, you have very few places for souvenir and that's too much costly and only on specific OLD town you will get it. Cold drinks and Snacks items are costly than Middle East and Asian Countries. Overall Bucharest is good but has its own limitation. Better visit Brasov which is 2:30 PM hours.

How cheap it is, did not like Uber drivers are rude I had a 4month old and an Uber driver refused to take us because of the baby , and some would not let u seat in the front so had to put the car seat on my knees no safe how the drive the people are rude everyday I would argue with someone even in the bus or just on the streets.

I used the gym (which is available 24/7) and it is well equipped for a basic workout. The staff are very nice and friendly. Bucharest is a really interesting place to explore, and the hotel is well situated in the Old Town. Wonderful building, great rooms, very friendly staff. We had to check out early to catch our rebooked flight and our breakfast was already waiting at reception so we could take it with us to the airport. Can recommend this place.
