We loved the rooms, the decor, space and amenities were great. Central location in Napier and situated above K Kitchen and bar where we got cocktails before dinner. Rooms were bigger than we expected and were a very modern deco feel.
Located opposite the picturesque Clive Square, Expressotel is 7-minutes’ walk from the waterfront at Marine Parade. It offers modern rooms with flat-screen TVs. Guests enjoy free WiFi.

Interesting art deco architecture.
Interesting art deco architecture. The CBD is very walk-able. Good shops and restaurants; we highly recommend Mister D's bistro. Great central location for exploring the Hawke's Bay wine region.

Attended a concert at McLean Park, Napier is so compact it was an easy enough walk. Great eateries, restaurants and wineries. Also some nice stores although some of them were a bit pricey. So many towns and sights are close to Napier and is appropriate for children and adults of all ages. Warning, you definitely need more than just a couple of days!

Napier is a BIG little town with plenty to see and do and lots of seaside walks and inner cycle pathways to explore. Nicely laid out and good places to eat. The reason why big trucks drive through town centre is baffling as there is a bypass to the port and is noisy and ruins the vibe. The significant gang presence in Napier is concerning, they are everywhere and are rude, aggressive, intimidating and seem to revile in their pathetic existence to annoy others.

We stayed here for the Napier Art Deco festival and the location was perfect with lots of free parking which was a real bonus as the town was very busy and many streets closed for the festival. Wonderful hotel with great staff very helpful and friendly. The room on the 5th floor end of corridor was brilliant with floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides the views were fab - in fact I watched the air display from there and had a closer view than people on the ground! We did not use the restaurant but did have breakfast at the swimming pool cafe opposite which was lovely and the Masonic Hotel which was also great. The location was a few minutes walk from the centre of the town so ideal We would absolutely stay here again but you need to book early for the festival in February - we booked in June the year before!

It's unfortunate that Napier, due to still struggling from the storms last year and the harvest staff requiring lodgings, it is very difficult to get reasonable accomodation. We visited Napier several years ago and absolutely loved it.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Units are spacious and comfortable - we had a one bedroom unit that had wall bed in the lounge which was great to free up room.
Lots of family facilities like pool with a slide, spa pool (new !), games room with pool table, table tennis, playstation. To make laundry easier they even have a large clothes line out the back and smaller airing racks.
Very handy to Taradale shops, New World and Anderson Park and 10 minute drive to Napier city.
Location was great, oceanfront with no road in front of the hotel, a broad lawn from the room to the beach, quiet, peaceful. A few minutes to the downtown. Room was spacious with a sitting area, couch. There was a refrigerator, microwave, dishes, glassware, and a sink.
Bath had a jetted tub and plenty of hot water.
Staff, Stephanie and Desiree were helpful and attentive.
There are several restaurants within walking distance.
Very nice apartment separate from the rest of the hosts house. Good hot tub overlooking the ocean! Super friendly hosts who really care about you and your stay. Breakfast was left in the room, cold options but with good coffee. Convenient to the whole Napier area but outside of it a bit so quieter and more relaxed. They had bikes for use as there are trails all over.
Like most of the Maring Parade hotels, this one has been there for awhile and is ‘efficient living’ for those who want to be as close to the beach as can be. While i liked the property and especially manager Julie, one must understand that this, like every other property we saw, is a bit tired. We love the location, Julie, and it coziness.
This hotel has bags of character, it has so much going for it. It has a kind of fifties Art Deco feel which is very much in tune with Napier itself. The staff were great and there are some charming and thoughtful touches (like helping yourself to a glass of port from the library). I would definitely stay here again! It even has a lift.
We loved the host whom was extraordinary friendly and polite. A fantastic experience, a truly culture conversation with the host, the location with the view over the city, the breakfast, the luxury room and bathroom made our stay one of the best in Napier region.
Well done 👍 to the host.
Really enjoyed the easy proximity to town and further afield.
The room was immaculate with everything you needed for a comfortable stay.
Staff were friendly and parking was easy, right outside the door.
I highly recommend this motel to anyone needing to stay somewhere in central Napier.
We stayed one night and another night at a more expensive hotel. We won't be doing that again as Pebble beach motel was way, way better. We have already talked about when we come back next that we will first check pebble beach is available as it's worth every dollar!! Thank you so much.
Absolutely gorgeous and comfortable space, convenient to Bluff Lookout and town, Kitty and Peter are the best-ever hosts!!! Full breakfasts with warm from the oven home made breads and pastries are to die for!!! Napier is an awesome town, fun to stroll, bike and dine your way through!
The room matched the proposal and was it self nice and clean. The staff was very friendly. The hotel fortunately was equipped with a elevator, what was realy helpfull. The hotel it self is located next to downtown Napier, a few steps away from every thing.
Ocean view, which is always a plus. On Marine Parade - central to where we needed to be. We visit Napier often, so have had the experience of walking along the beachfront. The room was a bit worn, but loved our stay. The bed was exceptionally comfy.
Breakfast was of a high standard with ample choice. The B&B is located in a peaceful residential area but with easy access to attractions in Napier, Hastings and Havelock North. The hosts are welcoming and helpful.
The hotel is in the art deco style of the whole town of Napier and is located right in the middle of town. The room was well laid out and had everything we needed for a short stay.
This is an amazing historic hotel exceptionally presented. It’s like stepping back 100 years. Outstanding in every way, including the service. Absolutely nothing to fault!
