One of my favourite places to visit!
One of my favourite places to visit! I live in the city (Perth) and not nearly enough people are as friendly and conversational as they are in Margaret River. The beaches are absolutely beautiful and you’re surrounded by nature. You must visit the Margaret River Chocolate Company, Wow Illusions, and the Margaret River Sweet Shop. And make sure to stop in at Cowaramup on the way through! Some of the roads are a little iffy, but majority have either been updated or are getting updated as we speak.JadeAustralia - 10Scored 10

Beautiful scenery and wilderness to explore. Incredible wineries, breweries and a great distillery to check out. Excellent food options, and unbelievable coastal vistas. Go bush walking, enjoy the beach! Only downside is things can be a bit pricier than in a big city - ie: groceries, meals out etc. But that's a fairly minor complaint, and something to be expected.

This is a lovely town, but be aware it really exists just because of tourism. The vast majority of shops are there to support that, so gift shops aplenty! It’s worth a visit for an afternoon, or stay there, or locally, as a base, but in itself is rather limited.

Travelled with friends and the cottages were separate but adjoining, in a quiet location outside Margaret River. Well maintained grounds with a lake and lawns, paths to walk through the property. Fully equipped kitchen if you want to do your own cooking. Ours were single bedroom Studio type cottages but there are also two bedroom houses for families. All spaced apart throughout the property, very private. We are already planning to go back. 15 acres of happiness and peace.KymAustralia

The ground floor accommodation is perfect with a spacious deck, comfortable bedroom with good storage and a great bathroom (with bath tub and shower). The whole place was extremely well equipped, (apart from an ice option - see below). We loved sitting on the deck watching the birdlife and the proximity to Margaret River Brewhouse was just a 10 minute walk.

It was perfect for 6 adults, 4 of whom were visiting from interstate. A large, well equipped kitchen made it convenient for cooking in-house. 2 modest sized downstairs rooms with a shared ensuite and a large upstairs room with a private one. The only criticism was that this toilet was not private. Very good communication throughout the booking process.

The apartments are spacious and cater for couples and families. They are fully self contained and there is also a good bbq area and kids playground. The pool is very big and well maintained. Check in is at the River Hotel next door and the staff are lovely. This is definitely our go to place when in Margaret River and we will be back for sure.GillianAustralia
