After thousands of choices, I finally chose this hotel and it didn't disappoint me. I stayed for a few days and everything satisfied me. I was especially moved that the waiter made Congee for me because I was a little sick and had no appetite.

    In 20 years the lovely, quiet and quaint town of Lijiang has...

    In 20 years the lovely, quiet and quaint town of Lijiang has developed like no other, become a tourist magnet (seemingly mostly for Mainland Chinese tourists) and has almost completely lost its charm... unless you wake up early and walk in the deserted streets at sunrise (before 8am). From morning onward it is choking with tourists, even in low season (can't imagine high season !!), discos at night become restaurants during the day, and the whole place is just guesthouses, retail shops and restaurants. Even old ladies selling strawberries can't give change on 20 yuan and ask for payment by AliPay or WeChat Pay!! Shuhe and Baisha are no better, victim of their "heritage" status that has completely destroyed the soul of those places. Luckily, with electric cars and electric scooter the air is fairly pure and the sky still blue. It makes for nice photos, but forget originality. A very good example of a UNESCO Heritage site that has become a victim of its success... go and visit before it's even worse, but in low season please............

    With covid over the crowds are back, did i mention the crowds? dont go its far too busy now Only Intercontinental gives a reminder of the former peace of Lijiang - this too only a reminder when you see the scrum for breakfast

    The staff were fantastic.

    The staff were fantastic. In particular the manager Joye accommodated every request we made and did it with a smile and genuine sense of friendship. We needed some complicated forward planning and both travel and accommodation reservations to be made. Mr Joye assigned a very nice, intelligent and competent young lady named Cassie who did an amazing job and we are now traveling again with all of her advice and recommendations proving to be excellent. We would throughly recommend using this, and most of the staff speak English.

    It was a nice ancient town to walk round and was very picturesque. The good thing was that it was car free. Unfortunately the shops sell most of the same things. The places to visit around Lijiang were easy to visit by car.

    Lijiang is a wonderful town.

    Lijiang is a wonderful town. A great place to get a glimpse of China's past. The Local Naxi people are colourful and friendly. Beautiful sights all within walking distance of the Old Town. Highly recommended. Great Yunnan traditional food in the Old Town at "Yun Xue Li" (Yunnan Snow Lijiang) - 云南省丽江市古城区七一街兴文巷95号 A great vegetarian buffet (at only 18RMB per person) in the new town is Auspicious Vegetarian Restaurant Building 6, Jinkai Plaza Complex Building, Gucheng district. This is about 10 minutes walk from the North gate of the Old town.

    The Old Town is ok for a walk through, but it's really touristed. The original old town is still there, but it's not that will maintained. If you're going to higher altitude, use it as a stop over.

    The room is very nice, the small courtyard is designed beautifully, and it is very close to the ancient city. It only takes a few minutes to go out and get to the ancient city. There is breakfast available, and the experience is very good. The hotel front desk service is enthusiastic and thoughtful, and any questions raised can be resolved with care. The overall environment is warm and quiet, and the room is clean and tidy. I will choose again next time, the overall experience is good, and I will recommend friends to come.

    Location - Easy walk to Lijiang old town, many restaurants nearby Room - Big and clean. Good view of the old town from upstairs Manager XiaoXue was very helpful from the days I booked the room. She helped to book a van at a reasonable prize for our outing to Snow Mountain area and to ShangriLa. During our 4 nights stay, she helped us in changing flight and hotel bookings in other locations as we were not able to use google and yahoo email in China. She was efficient, helpful and friendly.

    best hotel i have ever stayed, in the edge of Suhe ancient town, very easy to find, staff in here is very friendly and helpful, they always ready to help you with any need, here also have a lot of activities, you can listen the singer sing the beautiful songs in the night, you can play the table games with other guess, all young people in here, very relaxing and happy, if i come back Lijiang next time, I definitely will choose this hostel;

    The accommodation environment is very nice, a small courtyard filled with fresh flowers. The staff in the shop are all very friendly. Kyrie, Joye, and the landlady Cici provided us with a lot of help. In the evening, Joye even took us to the bars in Lijiang to have fun. It was a very pleasant stay, and we will stay at her place again next time we come to Lijiang. 👍👍👍

    Super friendly staff who reached out in advance with directions and offered transportation help. The rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We were able to do laundry for free. The hotel is in a great location in the ancient town. The staff helped us figure out getting buses to Shaxi on the day we left. Definitely recommend!

    I liked the location, it was close to the railway station, the ancient town, and a good location for other activities in Lijiang. The room was spacious and pretty clean. The breakfast was a basic Chinese breakfast. The staff was kind, and had a couple English speakers. They helped me with booking bus tickets and cars around Lijiang.

    The staff was really great. They helped me book bus tickets to tiger leaping gorge, and even walked me to the stop to make sure I got on the right bus.
