It is an excellent location for buses all over Malta and shops, restaurants, and much more. As there is no tea and coffee in our room we took our own kettle and tea and coffee which worked well. Our room was spacious and a good shower, bath and toilet off our room. We had a fabulous view of the sea from our balcony. Room was cleaned every day and the staff were great will be going back thank you.

Traffic congestion due to narrow roads.
Traffic congestion due to narrow roads. A lot of construction. Beautiful sights. A lot to do. Many forts and churches. Multiple boat ride options. Hoop off hoop on was very affordable and worked well. Cab availability was great and most expensive fare was $30.00, usually about $20.00/ trip. Many restaurants were within walking distance, (less than 1 mile.). Beautiful city, no crime, a lot to see. Felt safe everywhere.

Very good public transport network included ferries to Valetta. If you would like to experience the culture then you would be in for a huge disappointment. It seemed to me that Maltese nation totally abandoned their culture in favour to tourism.

Sliema is handy for ferry to Valletta and is walkable to St Julian. It is a Marina type resort, not a sea side resort. Restaurants ok, not especially fancy. I liked Malta a lot but would recommend stopping in Valletta rather than Sliema.

For us a perfect place to stay, regarding how much more expensive is staying in Valetta. Especially the spot that faces to St. Julian's provides epic view as soon as you get to the promenade. Be aware that the ferries to Valetta don't work when it's windy, so you'll have to take a bus. The buses to Valetta are almost always crowded and sometimes they don't board (we had to miss a couple) but you'll get there eventually.

Sliema is like most of Malta's area's, a busy lively place during the day. At night the traffic does quieten down a bit, but you have more people walking around the harbour, bars and restaurant's. Our choice was the Cafe Sicilia, but the choice you have you could choose a different one every night. The ferry to Valletta is convenient and on our visit 3 euros per person so not expensive. Walking round the harbour in the evening is a nice relaxing walk. Like many places in Malta, there is a lot of building work going on, so there is some delays and disruption at the moment. But that is soon forgotten once past it. We think it's a great place to stay for couples or a family, easy for Valetta or anywhere in Malta.

Sliema is like the poor relation to St Julians and Valetta.
Sliema is like the poor relation to St Julians and Valetta. It is dirty, lacks atmosphere and is rather boring. There is so much construction work going on , cranes and diggers are everywhere. There is also too much litter.
The restaurants were more expensive than Valetta and the shops close early so there isn't the buzz at night that St Julians has. Great for getting to other places but wouldn't stay there again.
The location was great, nearby the sea and the bus station was approximately 10 minutes away. The design of the hotel was very modern. The room was very clean, beautiful and included a massive and comfortable bed. The employees were extremely polite, friendly and tried their best to make this experience one of the best ones. I don't have any drawbacks to mention, if we visit Malta in the future again, then we will definitely choose this hotel to stay in.
The staff at the hotel were fabulous and welcoming. When I told them that my girlfriend was celebrating her birthday they arranged for cakes to be put in the room, which was lovely! The view from the balcony overlooking the marina was great and the room itself was spacious and clean and the bed comfortable. The ferry to Valletta is just across the road and it’s easy to walk to places like Balluta Bay. Thank you Sliema Marina Hotel!
The room was basic but very clean and I found it at a very good price.
Good safety measure against Covid, good connections with Valletta and ferry dock in Sliema by bus.
Breakfast was adequate and the view from the breakfast room superb.
I would definitely book here again as it was very good value for money.
Best heating system ever found in any hotel!
Cleaning staff very polite and smiley
Lovely hotel, rooms were spacious and thoroughly cleaned daily. Nice, friendly staff.
Great choice for breakfast. We went in January so didn’t use the rooftop pool but it looked fabulous.
We had half board which was served in their sister hotel The Palace. Lovely dining room, food was good.
Great location, easy access to bus routes via short walk into Sliema.
Would definitely recommend.
Very good location - plenty of bus stops around and few minutes from Sliema-Valletta ferry. Our room was small but had everything necessary (only one small suggestion - would be good to have some cup for toothbrushes in the bathroom). The continental breakfast was delicious. The staff of the hotel was very friendly. Recently, a rooftop terrace with pool was opened which was superb.
The hotel is great. Very clean, the cleaning ladies are doing an amazing job. The room was great. Very big, the air conditioning works well.
The young lady from Serbia working at the reception is amazing, very polite and gave us really good advice.
Breakfast was great.
I would give them 5 stars.
I traveled for studies and stayed in this hotel in my first days. The hotel has the best cost-benefit ratio, it is very clean and its staff is very friendly.
It is located in one of the best places in Malta. Likewise, it is very easy to take transportation to any place of interest.
Good breakfest, reception guy Yaseer and rest of stuff very kind and helpful. The best stuff I ever had in hotels. Good location of the guest house, downtown of Sliema. Close to public transport, restaurants and shops.
I can recommend "the Maltese Sun"
Location is great, room (601) had a balcony and kept so clean, staff were so helpful and friendly! I doubt you can get a better value in Sliema than this hotel. I told all my friends to stay here when they get to Malta 😁 Highly recommended!!
A wonderful hotel at Sliema just on the waterfront. Great value for money, comfortable and spacious room, amazing breakfast and very helpful stuff. There is a pool on the terrace with great view! I recommend it absolutely!
The hotel and the room were clean, staff were very polite.
Good breakfast, location is great. The bus stop is a few yards away from the hotel. Walking distance from St. Julian’s bay or Sliema ferry.
The staff were very lovely!
The best thing is the prime location also it's right at Sliema ferries, full of restaurants and bars.
Rooms were clean, I got an upgrade also, that was cool!
Breakfast are great, there are many choices. Great location, close to the center. Walking distance to Sliema centrum and St. Julian. The hotel staff are friendly, nice and helpful.
