I liked everything about this hotel, the staff, the breakfast spread, the big room, the service. Everything was top notch. We even got complimentary early check in.
We got the junior suite, it was huge. Great comfy beds and pillows, working air-conditioning and water heater, big bath tub. We also requested for extra blankets.
The breakfast spread was massive, you get a bit of english breakfast, malay, chinese and japanese. A spread of freshly squeezed juice and a barista to prepare freshly brewed coffee. You get waffles and french toast, muesli and yogurt, cereals and cheese. Friendly waiters as well.
The staff was also well uniformed, always greeting you with a smile. Great stay, would definitely come again next time.

Everything is expensive and there's traffic congestion in most places. A high level of patience is needed when entering KL. To all travelers, I salute you for being able to walk in KL. Even in the heat, you endure it.

KL is a beautiful city rich in history with a beautiful mix of people across Asia. There are many things to see in KL and I wish I had stayed longer to see more! The food is amazing, and you’ll have no trouble finding somewhere to eat in KL, and many people will try to help you if you need directions. Malay is definitely not a language I know, so I was grateful many people understood English. Do be aware that the city can get very warm and humid, so make sure you’re hydrated. Using Grab is the best way around the city and felt very safe using it. You might have random thunder and rain but they are short lived ( it is after all a tropical country). There are many food markets to go to as well.

There's a lot more to KL than a glitzy skyline.
There's a lot more to KL than a glitzy skyline. Food and city travel offer high quality and great value (download the Grab taxi app). A good city to walk in. A walking tour with David Tan of Guru Tours gave us glimpses into KL's past and present, as well as hints of the future. It is a suprisingly green city - citizens and authorities seem to love their trees. Shiny contemporary skyscrapers live comfortably alongside old structures that seem to be in no danger of disappearing - the casual visitor could be wrong. Some of the new buildings are beautiful, with clever incorporation of Islamic motifs, though the broad strategy of the town planners is a bit mystifying. A lack of stress in the way people negotiate their city belies its primary commercial focus.
Our best experience in KL was the Museum of Islamic Art which was exhibiting contemporary explorations of Arabic calligraphy. An exhibition worth visiting KL for - check out how liberating calligraphy from conventional rules unleashed a storm of immersive art.
Very, very impressive luxury building in central location right next to the brand new LaLaPort mall which features plenty of cool restaurants & shops. The infinity rooftop pool with superb view on the Petronas Towers is simply stunning, and so is the architecture & design of the flat & building which can compete with 5 star hotels. Most highly recommended spot and kind host who was also kind enough with my late arrival caused by an unanticipated 2-hour long queuing at passport control at the airport !
I loved the breakfast - most of the dishes were different per day for our 4D3N stay. Staff were mostly friendly and easy to communicate with. They have complimentary snacks/drinks/coffee in the room which they refill daily - I've never had this from any other hotel I'd stayed at within the same price range so I really appreciated it.
The hotel is located in an accesible spot - near the typical places to visit in Bukit Bintang/Pavilion area but in the more quiet end of the street.
- Convenient location, 5min walk to the back of Fahrenheit (go out of the hotel, turn right and right again). There's an underpass to Pavilion from Fahrenheit.
- Helpful concierge team who assisted us with our massage appointment and advised us on the best route to airport.
- Great facilities, saw many Singaporeans were wondering around the hotel to check out the facilities.
- Away from the busy road of Bukit Bintang, hence there is a shortcut to the expressway to KLIA.
Probably one of my favourite hotels in the world. The room was great – large and supremely comfortable. The view over the park was amazing. The staff are super friendly, and the whole hotel has an air of professionalism and excellence. We ate at Chynna twice and loved it. The location is so handy – so close to the airport train and also the Nu Sentral Mall. We'll stay again – and soon.
Strategic Location to go anywhere. It’s Near Nu Sentral, easy to catch train on time. Walking distance about 5 minutes. Near commuter, monorail & lrt. Easy to find food because there’s a lot of kedai mamak. Near 7e, kk mart, speed mart & if you forget to bring your fon charger, you can buy it at the electronics shop in front of the hotel. A lot of other budget hotel nearby.
Location and the staff is very friendly.
Literally just next to Masjid Jamek LRT station, super convenient.
From the Malay female receptionist and the Indian handyman name Man, he makes the guest feel very welcome , his warmest makes their hospitality compatible with many so call 5 star hotel despite this is just a budget hotel.
The location is just great, linked to the KL Sentral station, where you can easily take the LRT to various places. Rain or shine, all you need to just a stroll along the linked walkway into the hotel. Just a 25 minutes ride on KLIA Express train from the airport to the KL Sentral to reach to HIlton KL. Also linked to NU Sentral mall.
unique blend of Japanese Asian cuisines more like buffet dinner at 5 star Hotels like Hilton Shangri La . heavy weight Breakfasts (free with Genius reviewer) .One can relax in live piano session in English colonial styled restaurant with Hainan chicken ,english afternoon high tea immersing in bygone era of of 1950s.
Excellent room and services, as can be expected with any Marriot Bonvoy hotel. Location is excellet, right next to KL Sentral station which is the hub for metro for all over the city and to the airport. Even has a decent mall next to the hotel. The food was also excellent.
The room was comfortable and the shower was so good. The water pressure was amazing. It is very near to Bukit Bintang, 2 mins walking distance to Jalan Alor and opposite the hotel lobby would the happening Changkat.
Everything, the polite & helpful staffs (Haifa+staffs), easy location, cleanliness of the room & toilet, satisfying room rate, comfy bed, so many eateries nearby and so much more...5 star for a budget hotel!
My stay at Melange Boutique Hotel Bukit Bintang was exceptional due to the amazing staff! Both Akram and Vicky provided the best customer care possible. They were extremely helpful, informative and kind.
Shangri La Kuala Lumpur is indeed a wonderful example of a well run 5 * Hotel. From the minute you arrive and get greeted by the door staff to the efficient booking into your room.
Great location, easy and shelter access to KL Sentral. A decent budget hotel for a short stay. Good bed and wifi. easy to get food around. The staff are friendly.
