Amazing room with fully equipped kitchen. The bed was cozy and the bathroom was also very nice. Even thou though there are 4 apartments in a room you have full privacy with curtains. In the evening we got the chance to see the aurora as well.

Husavik was our favourite town in Iceland. Fabulous whale watching cruise, including two rarely seen blue whales. The GeoSea Thermal Pools are a great spot for a beer in a warm salt water pool overlooking the ocean. Several excellent restaurants and bars too.

Whale watching was excellent on the sunset trip at 7.30-10.30pm. Watched four humpback whales surface feeding and diving down.
Puffin colony nearby too. Good for seabird watching. Otherwise not much to Husavik for us - a service centre with fuel, food shops, a few restaurants and new pool complex that looked good but we did not visit.

Whale Watching was a bonus as we managed to spend 30 minutes with a Minke. If you are driving to Husavik from south, then make sure you have ample time to stop and admire the highlands and also complete the diamond circle. Make sure you stick to speed limit of 90KM across Iceland ;-)

I stayed here mostly for the GeoSea spa.
I stayed here mostly for the GeoSea spa. It was very snowy so I ended up cutting some of the driving out of my day and got here early. Except for whale watching and the spa, there is almost nothing to do here. (Unless you're there at the time of the music festival). A great place to stay though if you're seeing the diamond circle. Lovely views and nice people in town as well.

Husavik is a delight!
Husavik is a delight! The spot to experience the north Coast of Iceland. Lots to see and do, dont miss out on the bath! Very good restaurants. Use Google! Museums, whale and puffins, just get the atmosphere of a harbour facing the far north.
We drove up north on F25 and consideringit takes another two hours to get there once you hit Road1 we thought this was overdoing it a bit. But no.
I instead wish we had stayed overnight closerto Akureyri and continued to Husavik. The drive is just to beutiful to do whenyou are tried. Spend at least two nights, -the point is not to feel stressed. Then continue to Myrvatn.
Arriving at the cabin we felt instantly comfortable and relaxed in the cabin as it smells of a high end hotel which is lovely . The furnishings were all to a high end standard and we had everything we could possibly have needed including possibly the best shower I have ever used .The location was perfect for exploring the Myvatn area. The views are expansive and if it was a clear night we could only imagine the experience of viewing the northern lights through the exceptional frontal glazing .
It can be said that the hotel had 2-star status, so of course you can't ask for great service. In addition, our visit was in the complete off-season - in the middle of winter. Thank you to the hosts for the opportunity to stay in Husavik and enjoy the hospitality. The hotel is in a very good and easily accessible location, as well as close to all the sights of the hotel (if, of course, the roads are open at all in winter) ... For budget travelers, the hotel is definitely recommended.
We LOVED staying here. To check in, the company send you a code and you check yourself in. It was so easy and nice! There is free parking and it is right near the few restaurants, gas stations, iconic Husavik church, and the whale watching excursions. We had a whale watching excursion and were able to leave the car here. It was super easy! The room was very roomy- there was a small minifridge, couch, double bed, and bathroom. The shower was very nice and clean. There was also a TV.
Fantastic location in Husavik. We were able to walk to our planned excursion, 5 minutes to the harbor. Very quiet spot, very clean room and bathroom. Beds were comfy, the only small complaint were the pillows. They were just like half pillows instead of standard pillows which was odd. But otherwise it was great. There was a nice shared common area and kitchen. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.
Lovely staff and breakfast! They accommodated my need for GF options with several items; bread, granola and crackers! Room was cozy. View of mountains and sea are stunning. Very chill and peaceful experience. Bonus if you like horses. They have 125 all around the vast property. It was a very unique experience. Also, it was very close to the town of Húsavík, 3 km or so.
The room was spacious, clean, and had big comfortable beds. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a restaurant along with it which is also very good. The hotel's location is very close to the dock from where the Husavik whale-watching tours start (2 mins on foot). Continental breakfast was served in the morning with a wide variety of food.
The location was perfect in close to Husavik. The view over the harbor was very nice. It has everything we needed and then some. Good communication before and after arrival. The location is above a supermarket but you really did not notice it. But it was very convenient if you needed anything. The washer/ dryer were great.
Great place in a remote area. Good stopping point while doing the ring road trip. Godafoss Waterfall literally right across the street. We could hear it from the hotel. Great on-site restaurant. Our double room w/terrace was generous in size. The heated floors were excellent! Older style accommodations were quaint.
Liked everything about the property. We had a nice large room facing the waterfall. Big bathroom as well. Stayed here for three nights. Food in the restaurant was good and everyone at the hotel was super friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
Very new and good facilities, like a hotel with stars and the facilities for cooking breakfast is really helpful. Dish washer included!
Strong recommendation and this is almost the best room we had during our trip in Iceland.
If you are looking for a hotel at the end of the world, you've come to the right place !!! Quiet, easy, idyllic. Clean shared kitchen, well equipped. Too bad it was only one night.
The room was fine and it is equipped with good facilities except for a small fridge. The location was great. It is in the heart of Husavik. The hotel is peaceful as well.
Amazing view of the sea. Interesting library with astronomical additions - the family of Neil Armstrong stayed in this hotel! Tasty breakfast at the Eurovision museum.
The apartment was very comfortable and clean with a well stocked kitchen. The location was perfect. I wish we had the time to stay in Husavik for 2 or 3 nights.
