This was honestly the best accommodation in our whole 5 week Vietnam itinerary. The wide gazebo common areas surrounded by a lush green garden and a river are just fantastic to escape stressful cities. There where hammocks everywhere to relax, free bananas and a great dinner for a really good price. The staff is amazing, they speak good English and help you with everything. It’s also a smaller homestay so that you can actually connect with other guests in the common areas. We stayed in a hut for two persons, which had everything we needed.

It is 4minutes walk from the bus station to HCMC. It looks green on the picture but it’s right next to a very busy road.

This is a very beautiful part of the Delta with clean canals and neighborhoods and lots of opportunities to interact with locals. We took a bike ride one day and people would say hello to us as we passed. Another day we took a tour and got to get a bigger perspective on life here. One of the most enjoyable trips we've had and the best of this 2-week vacation!

If you want to be in the heart of the Mekong Delta - better go to Can Tho. Ben Tre just has not a lot to offer. The only thing you can visit is the night market, but it is not special. Only cheap tourist stuff that you will find on every other market in Vietnam

Ben Tre/My Tho are nice if you are interested in discovering the different islands around: they all have their own speciality: honey, coconut, etc. The boat tour is lovely especially if you decide to go for a private one. The city has a beautiful pagoda that is worth visiting.

We were only at the homestay and on a boattrip one afternoon. Did’nt go to the city of Ben Tre. A couple of hours on a bicykletrip would definetly have been interresting, but with three kids, we found it too difficult.

I had such a lovely time at Ben Tre Stay.
I had such a lovely time at Ben Tre Stay. The family let me borrow a bike, showed me where to cycle to in the area, arranged a boat trip on the river, arranged a bus ticket for my next destination. Everything was excellent and would highly recommend this homestay to anyone who wants to stay with an amazing family. Thank you for having me!

It is located about 3 km away from the Ben Tre center - a short bicycle ride to the center. Thus, you can experience both city and rural life styles easily. Access from Ho Chi Minh City is a piece of cake if you use FUTA bus. The company offers a free shuttle bus service to this property from the Ben Tre bus station. Area around this property was very good for a bicycle ride. Luckily, there were many bicycles available and they were free. During my stay, I went to so many places by bicycle and met many local people. It was every wonderful.
I LOVED my stay at Ecoco Home. Amy and her husband make you feel welcome from the second you arrive at their home. I can’t put into words the gratitude I have for these amazing people and this beautiful and peaceful place. I wish I could have stayed longer but even though my stay was short, it was enough to learn so much about Vietnamese culture than a month of travelling in the country. Amy, you are such an inspiring and fantastic person, you and your home will forever have a special place in my heart. Thank you <3
This homestay is exactly what you want after the chaos of HCMC - calm, quiet, clean, and perfectly managed. The family are delightful, professional and helpful. The food has great variety (even for vegetarians) and is superb. The location is rural enough to feel far from the city, but close enough to Ben Tre town to visit. Bicycles are available for free, and are an easy way to explore the labyrinth of canals and coconut plantations. Very, very nice.
Thuan is very helpful and a great host! His past experience as a tour guide ensures that you have a great understanding of HCM and anything that you're curious about. His family is also very hospitable and welcoming. One of my best experiences traveling because not just the warm hospitality, but also I get to understand Vietnam a lot more from a local perspective which I find it hard learning about when I was traveling due to language barrier.
This is a homestay, where you get to experience traditional food, lifestyle and culture and the great pass time of Karaoke and beer, It is a one stop shop for activities as well. we booked four days and enjoyed every moment of the experience. Don't be put off by the location as this only added to the charm of the place. Highlight of our trip to Vietnam and Ben Tre.
This place is GREAT! The rooms are super clean and nice (spend the extra money to get aircon). The property is right on the river so we spent a lot of time watching the boats go by. The hosts are all incredibly warm and kind! We got to listen and learn about Vietnamese culture. The food is INCREDIBLE! It was such a lovely time!
Ben and staff were more than helpful .Ben is a true diplomat and should be in either government or a position where he betters the tourism industry in Vietnam. He is so informed and worried about pollution plastics. His knowledge and language skills excel.
- Good location, near the ferry that can be reached by bus/car
- In a quite old style village next to river with great atmosphere
- Friendly and English fluent host
- Southern Vietnam meal option available
- Friendly for solo traveler
The owner was amazing! He made the experience very genuine. He even drove me into town to catch my bus! He knows a lot about Vietnam and wants to share it with his guests. He will even cook dinner for you if you don't want to go out.

The best thing was the boat tour. The guide explained many interesting things about the area and Vietnam.
Nice location, outstanding staff & good facilities
also breakfast is not bad. I had a dinner with their set menu, Vietnamese food so good for me and cheap!
The location was beautiful and right on the river. it was a little hard to get to at night (in the dark) but the hotel owner came to get us when we called.
