Very helpful and kind host, accommodated storing our bags for 12 hours on day of check out.
We (3 people) stayed in a private bunk bed room and each bunk is fully self contained with charging ports, shelf and a blind. There was enough space in the room for 3 large and 3 small cases and also storage lockers available.

Despite the weather and the fact that the restaurant we wanted to go closed at 6h30 pm, which was too early for our stomach, we had a great time in Lotte Resort, especially with the spa, the noraebang and the game zone located in the same building !

Room was clean and cute. Had a nice view of the Sokcho Eye, though our view of the sea was blocked by trees. Great location for exploring the beach, and nice brew pub/ coffee shops close by.

Getting to Sokcho is pretty easy from Seoul. Perfect place for sea food lovers! Beaches are very clean. And all the places are accessible by public transport bus. Pizzalazza restaurant for pizzas, Lotteria for vegan burgers- highly recommended. Sokcho eye gives you a very beautiful view of the city. Naksansa temple is very beautiful. So is Seoraksan national park- treat for nature lovers, both are easily accessible by bus.

A popular gateway for visiting Seoraksan National Park.
A popular gateway for visiting Seoraksan National Park. Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market is a large traditional market offering many local products (eg. fresh and dried seafood) and local street food. Convenient bus services operate within Sokcho and out of Sokcho. There is a beach at the southern end of the city. We saw several new high rise buildings under construction indicating further expansion of the city in the near future.

I really like to visit seoraksan national park for mount hiking.
I visited Sokcho fish market and had King crab.
Bus 7 and 7-1 go to Sokcho express bus terminal/ Sokcho intercity bus terminal/ Sokcho seafood market.
I used to stay resort before. It is nice and good scenery but I had to use taxi all the time. I stayed near Sokcho express bus terminal/Sokcho beach this time, it save lots of transportation cost, so I enjoyed king crab.

Sokcho is a great city. It is close to the national park, and the park is exceptional. The beach is nice. Public transit is clean and efficient. Taxis are readily available and clean/safe. Restaurants, cafes and market food options are unlimited.
The is a not springs foot bath in Sockcho that I have never experience elsewhere and is a great stop. We could have spent a week in the National Park on trails.

The beach was nice: not too crowded on week days but a little overcrowded on weekends. The sand was a little rough, so by the end of the day my feet were sore. If I went again I would only stay Monday-Friday, as parking near the beach was impossible to find on Saturday.

Visions of Sokcho: where the mountains meet the sea.
Visions of Sokcho: where the mountains meet the sea.
Sokcho-si is a beautiful coastal city located in the northeast of the Gangwon-Do province of South Korea.
The city is famous for its history, culture, national parks, natural beauty, and local cuisine. The city is a popular gateway to the famous Seoraksan National Park.
Unfortunately it was raining and we couldn't hike Seoraksan, but we were able to stroll around the city.
The Sokcho Hütte was a pleasant place to stay a few days. The intercity bus terminal is just around the corner but you won’t know it if staying there. And the bus station to the mountains is nearby, too. The owner is kind, helpful and attentive for his guests and comes by every day to make breakfast and cleans the house. The dormitory with the bathroom inside is very clean and you have your own privacy with the curtains. The checkin was also very easy. Definitely a recommendation!
My experience at Sky Residence Hotel was nothing short of amazing, thanks to their cutting-edge smart key technology. Easy check-in and check-out system.
The room itself was well-equipped, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. Clean and very comfortable!
The hotel's location was also a huge plus, allowing me to easily explore the surrounding area. Will definitely come back.
I highly recommend World Sky Residence Hotel for anyone visiting Sokcho area.
The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Lee were hospitable, informative and personable to make sure for all the guests have their best exprience while visiting Sokcho. My four day trip was more than expectation. Because of their detailed information, I could visit facinating places including nice restaurants, a hot spring as well as local attractions such as Seoraksan National Park. I highly recommand this guest house: good location, safe, reasonable price for the best service.
The location is just perfect. Busstop nearby. Around the corner a great coffeeshop and convenient store. A lot of restaurants nearby where you can also can get a take away. Fish market, Abai village and Sokcho beach are also nearby. From the busstop you can go to Seokraksan Park. There is no reception. The rooms are in the Sunrise Hotel. When you arrive at your check in time you receive by What's app a message with instructions a link for you code for your room.
The no contact check in and out was super easy and efficient. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfy. Kitchen was fully equipped and bathroom was great. We stayed here as we wanted to visit Seoraksan National Park. The bus stop to the park was a 2 minute walk away and buses were very frequent so would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re going to the national park but want to stay somewhere that has a bit more to offer.
Self check-in was easy to use, different languages to choose from. Lovely view of Sockcho beach. Although the room is compact it has lots of storage, great facilities, a well-equipped kitchen, dining table and chairs, washing machine, excellent bathroom with a good shower and a comfortable bed. Great location, close to beach and express bus terminal to visit Seoraksan National Park. Highly recommend this hotel. Exceptional value.
Location perfect to explore Seoraksan National Park. The host is wonderful and provided great tips on things to do and restaurant recommendations around the area. He met us close by when we had trouble locating the place on the day of arrival and also dropped us off at the Sokcho bus terminal when we checked out. A place I would indeed recommend and the host's hospitality makes this a truly wonderful stay.
Very clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities! The private twin bunk room was excellent value for money - I think it's impossible to find a decent twin room for a cheaper price in Sokcho. Coffee, milk, cereal and bread was provided in the morning. The location is not pretty, but it's within walking distance of the bus terminal and a beach, so very convenient. I would stay there again.
The couple that runs The Blue Door are the nicest, most hospitable pair. Good English is spoken. Very kind and accommodating. Their dog Barry, a very friendly black lab, is an extra attraction. The location near the beach and near the Sokcho boardwalk is great. My single room was big enough for one person and very clean and comfortable.
What a great stay! Sokcho Hütte is located very close to the bus terminal and the room was spacious and very comfortable. It was also very clean and nicely decorated and you did not hear the other guests at all. The host was the best; he vas super friendly and made delicious toasts in the morning; he even offered to give us a ride.
Cute and quiet apartment in a very convenient location for exploring Sokcho. The apartment is fully outfitted with toiletries, dishes for use, laundry detergent, etc. A/C worked extremely well. The owner was very communicative. It was perfect for what we needed and we’d absolutely book it again.
I really liked the atmosphere. The owner was super nice and really gave a warm welcome. He told me all about the sights in Sokcho and gave me some great recommendations. The location is great, and it’s easy to take the bus to Seoraksan National Park as the bus stop is right around the corner.
we really enjoyed our stay. The host was friendly and really helped us out. He even booked our bus tickets from Seoul to Sokcho, picked us up at 1 AM. The location was good if you want to hike, and a taxi to Socko city is around 8000/9000 won.
Its super clean and new. It is well equipped with laundry facilities and kitchen. It’s facilities is up to 5 star hotel, highly recommended. It even has the balcony for sea view or city view. A quite chill place to spend a day in Sokcho.
Great location in front of Sokcho beach. The hotel is very new and clean. The beds are very comfortable. Overall a great place to stay. Great value for the money!
