We had breakfast at Casablanca was good, they need to have more variety. Coffee not completely hot, ceviche was delicious but I think they need more options. Fruit was not fresh.

It's just too crowded and the air is very polluted.
It's just too crowded and the air is very polluted. If you like big city life then you'll like Salinas. But if you want a place where you can just relax on the beach, this is not that place. Beaches are VERY crowded, lots of background noise. Honestly the air pollution here is horrible for a peninsula. It smells like Newark, New Jersey.

Even though the address of El Faro is technically Salinas, it's really about 8 miles from the city center, and my only excursions into town were for dinner. I had no complaints about the quality of the food, which is generally excellent, but Salinas itself has very little charm, since it's more of a beach community for people from Guayaquil. If I return to the area, I will make a point of heading further north on the coast, to slightly more remote, quiet places (NOT Montañitas).

I didn't see anything of interest here.
I didn't see anything of interest here. Beach is very mediocre. Trust me skip this city and try somewhere else. I went to Manta and it was much better.
i didn't find Manta to be overly exciting but it was much nicer than Salinas. I thought the Salinas was not nice at all- no nice buildings, no fancy restaurants etc.

I didn`t like Salinas at all, but lot of people does, so it is just my point of view.
For me it is a place without soul, dirty town with depressive streets, but luxury buildins on the coast.
I liked small villages like Machalilla or Montanita much more.

Salinas shouldn't even be called a beach city.... the beach part is very small and crowded... so you feel like you are in the city... people dress and party like they are in the city.. It's just not worth it... you have very nice beaches down the spondilus route... and a lot of food.. and way cheaper than in Salinas... I almost never visit there, because I don't feel "outside of the city"...

Salinas was pretty much what we expected for a beach town in SA. People were friendly and the sea food was great. Outside the beach area you will see a lot of poor people and a lot of garbage all around. Something about the South American countries that bothers me is people throw garbage everywhere?? It broke my heart to see all the stray dogs around. I collected left overs from the restaurants after we ate and went to the beach to feed them. All in all we loved it and would come back! The beaches are beautiful!
Perfect location, right in front of beach and in the middle of main street.
Though the room is small, but it's clean quiet, has cozy bed ,nice hot shower and some places to store our luggage.
Nice second floor restaurant and bar with beautiful sea view. Their breakfast and lunch menu are delicious and good price.
You can use hotel's kayak for free.
All staffs are super nice and helpful. We love to stay here and going to miss those moments we spent here.
The hotel is situated in a tiny private jungle right on the water. The grounds are full of interesting plants and free roaming tortoises, peacocks, monkeys and more. Wander around and find your perfect spot for reading or socializing. There is a concrete staircase that leads down to a small sandy beach. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast and also a menu for lunch ($10). The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were very kind and helpful.
We spent almost a week there and felt more like visiting friends than being in a B&B. Gabriel, the owner showed us around the town and had a lot of helpful recommendations. It is a perfect place if someone wants to be outside the town and enjoying nature and animals. The hotel is also a shelter for animals. The access to the beach is a bit tricky but once you are there you have the beach almost for yourself.
It was such a surprise to find this spotless and very pleasant hostel, just a short walk from the malecon. Everyone working there was very kind, there was lots of lounging space and my well-cared for room felt brand new (very unusual for such
a good price!). The WIFI was great for digital working and I had a perfectly peaceful night's sleep. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Salinas.
Absolutely nothing The place was filthy. I had to call the front desk which is not 24 hours all Night Long to get them to take out filthy towels filthy garbage cans filthy everything, That was there before I got to the room. It is supposed to be the best hotel in Salinas I don't think so, Especially when it comes to the staff. They were just unacceptable to be working in the hotel business
The facilities were very clean and good. The staff were friendly and polite. The hotel's bar which offers cocktails were good. I'd like to mention -and this is what I liked it most- was after my check out, the personel offered me the possibility to take a shower in the hotel.
The WiFi and debit card was out for my stay. They gave me a discount on my first day but then charged me full price for the next day. I cut my stay at the hotel short. They did have a very nice evening restaurant and club. The singer was excellent.
This is my favorite place in Salinas.
Cecilia--- she is amazing, she care so much for how well are you taking care of.
The staff - they are the hotel, always on top of thing, I have nothing else to say than, that I'm grateful to them.
This is an awesome small charming hotel across the street (beach boulevard) from the best beach in Salinas. There is a little garden with a bar within the hotel yard. The room was absolutely charming and super clean.
Fully in the heart of Salinas, directly at the beach. I liked the style of the hotel and the nice attention of the staff. The room was spacious with seaside view (costs quite a bit more, but worth it).
There was a discount on the breakfast but there was a large selection to choose from. They had a small pool which was usually filled with kids and young teens. The hotel restaurant had good food.
Modern apartment with good facilities and the space to make you feel at home, the location was quiet and very close to Chipipe Beach within walking distance from town center and Salinas beaches.
Lobby area was nice and well kept. The room was good sized and nicely furnished. Bed was comfortable. Bath was good sized also. Hotel reception was very helpful, pleasant and professional.
Pretty much everything, loved our room, location, safe, clean, fairly quiet neighborhood.
Excellent onsite staff... We will definitely stay here on our next Salinas trip...
