Very friendly and helpful. The property is located 2mins drive from the airport. Lots of space with a modern kitchen. The pool is large, and although hygienically clean, the bottom of the pool had quite a lot of fallen leaves and flowers in it. Didn’t stop us, but I can understand how this could be off putting for some. Would we stay again - yes, as a stop over to visit Bergerac

Hotel De France is located in the historic town of Bergerac, a 5-minute walk from the Dordogne River. It offers a heated outdoor swimming pool and a sunbathing terrace. We stayed three years ago and couldn’t wait to come back we are from NZ
So many things to see and do in the area. Bordeaux and Burgundy get lots of press for their wines. The surrounding vineyards of the Bergerac region are superb and accessible. They wine you sample ranges from good to out of this world; the stories you hear at each vineyard are full of the passion the people convey about their work and the results. In addition, the cultural sites were fun with many to choose from. Our only concern is that we traveled in early October. Some sites change or close at that time. Their websites weren't up to date so we showed up to several only to find them closed for the season.
Parking on site, large rooms, plenty of hot water. But we had a bad nights sleep as the rooms were very, very hot, no air con, no mosquito nets so couldn't open the windows. A fire alarm woke us in in the morning, after little sleep, and it couldn't be turned off due to 'electrical problems' This made me concerned about the safety of the electrical wiring. Located at the end of an industrial estate.
Beautiful town with lots of interesting buildings. Nice bars and restaurants. We found opening times of restaurants and shops unpredictable. Enough to do for a few days. Nice river trip and prebooked taxi from airport was convenient.
The town is beautiful. There are many shops, and beautiful architecture everywhere you look. There are some of the finest restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. The people everywhere are very friendly and everyone seems happy. It was like walking around in a painting. It was unforgettable.
The historic town of Bergerac is a great place to visit. Lots of interesting architecture and local culture to explore. There is quite a big street market held once or twice a week. Plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes. A very welcoming tourist destination.
Nice old city but nothing to do shops closed Sundays and Mondays. No buses from or to the airport taxi service is next to none waited hours to get one even if you book in a advance they don't turn up. Not a relaxing experience wouldn't recommend. And it rained constantly.
