Studios and apartments at Makares are air conditioned and open out to a balcony or terrace. They include a kitchen or kitchenette and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. From the moment you arrive, you feel the calmeness of this island. The same I can say for the studio I stayed in. It feels serene , due to the use of color and choose of furniture. The vieuw from the balcony is the cherry on the cake, and so are the sounds of the waves. Loukas is very hospitable and a very welcoming host. He tells you all you need to know about the island and the beautiful hikes you can make. The copple that cleans around the property is very kind, helpfull and the room is spotless. I will come back for sure!. I realy loved the 3 days I spend on the island of Donoussa and in Makares. Thank you Loukas and staff Kalo Xeimonas!

Location was great (in the heart of the village), provided that you are not looking for a sea-view location. Building is brand new (a year old) and the owner runs 2 other properties on the island so he's very experienced and this shows in the construction of the building (materials) as well as facilities and amenities.

The room was absolutely stunning, very simple, modern island design with a cute terrace onto a lovely garden. The location was perfect, very peaceful but only a 1 minute walk from the beach and shops. Our host was lovely and extremely helpful in every way. Would definitely recommend this place.

High quality beds, bathrooms and furniture probably the best rooms on the island with the nicest host, he picks you up on arrival at the ferry and drops you off. Always keen to help.
