18 km from Pico do Carvao, Quinta da Paz Azores is a recently renovated property located in Pico da Pedra and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The minute the gates open you feel at peace with this property. It breathes nature with all its animals, fruit trees and palm trees. I would never go back to a hotel in São Miguel once experiencing this beautiful Quintã. Claudia and Nicole were amazing and very attentive to our needs daily. My kids always looked forward coming back after exploring the beauty of this island. You felt free to enjoy the property and all its amenities. Amazing vacation that my kids and I will treasure forever.

Located within 12 km of Pico do Carvao and 24 km of Sete Cidades Lagoon, Santa Clara 1828 provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Ponta Delgada. Spacious, modern and clean apartment, with all the necessary amenities. The area is quiet, but it's only a short walk to the centre with all the restaurants, shops etc. Bruno, our host, was amazing. He is very friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. He goes out of his way to make sure we had everything we need and even provided us with a printed guide/itinerary. We will definitely come back here the next time we are in Sao Miguel

Vila Emigrante has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Capelas, 6.9 km from Pico do Carvao. The air-conditioned accommodation is 15 km from Sete Cidades Lagoon. Diana, as a Host was extremely efficient, accommodating and kind hearted Host. She was very easy to communicate with and was prompt in replying. Her directions to the location were amazing and she walked me through the cabin and and the grounds to make sure I had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. She even left a lovely gift basket of local treats which was very thoughtful and showed how proud she is of her home country and wants to share that with her guests. Very, very special. The cabin location was amazing with a great view of the village and the ocean with a lovely outdoor covered veranda to sit and eat and take in the view. The kitchen was efficient and well stocked with all you needed to have morning tea or coffee and to cook and make a meal. It was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. At night you could sit out, even in the rain and watch the sunset and in the morning have coffee and watch the sunrise. The Village has some great sights to take in as well as being a great location to drive to other areas with lots of great scenery along the way. The people in the Village are so lovely and social and make you feel like you are part of the community. There are a few local cats and they were the gentlest and sweetest and would come by for visits which was quite nice during the evenings. I highly recommend it for single travelers, couples, and or families.

Featuring a rooftop pool and views of city, Casa da Galeria - Azores Art of Hosting is a recently renovated aparthotel set in Ponta Delgada, 12 km from Pico do Carvao. The apartment was on a great location just in the city centre. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The stay included a breakfast which was superb and delivered to our door when we ordered it. Everything was impeccable and I never experienced such a great value for money accommodation. Highly recommended!

The property was very easy to access from the main road around the island. Parking was available. A car is necessary but, in my opinion, a car is necessary on the island. The property had everything we needed. We were very lucky to have use of a washing machine!

Starting with the first impression of the venue, welcome package, ameneties and then the comprehensive messages about all the things to do in Sao Miguel and then all the good restaurants by city. Whenever we had a question, we received a detailed answer and all was perfect. We felt like home with a good advice local on our side. Strongly recommend this location.
