Located within 27 km of Shobak Castle in Dana, Hobbit village features accommodation with seating area. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The campground provides mountain views, a sun terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available. Dana is in quite a poor area of Jordan. Therefore you really get the Jordanian culture experience! Host provided a guide to take us around Dana nature reserve. Highly recommend this. No real restaurant facilities in Dana so I would request that the Hobbit Village provide lunch/dinner.

The rooms at Ammarin Bedouin Camp are decorated with simple furnishings and a shared bathroom. It is fitted with mattresses, pillows and blankets. Our stay at Ammarin Bedouin Camp was fabulous! The location is beautiful and private. We loved the experience of staying in a Bedouin camp. We sat in the main Bedouin tent decorated in the traditional rugs and pillows and enjoyed tea by the fire. Afterwards they served us a fabulous dinner. The night was full of stars and eerie noises of the desert. We loved it! Breakfast is also included. If you plan to come, you can arrange with the host to be picked up in a 4x4 truck by the entrance to Petra and be driven right to the camp for a small fee (we paid 10 JD for the ride). They can also take you back in the morning. I would highly recommend this place for those who desire the experience of staying in a Bedouin camp. Our hosts were so friendly and attentive. We are thrilled to have stayed here. Side note: If you come in the winter months, bring a jacket. The desert is surprisingly cold at that time. Enjoy!

The camp is owned by a group of local farmers and the local community cooperative (The Dana Cooperative). Profits go back to the local community. The location, food, staff and the overall experience. The ultimate isolation spot. Loved waking up to the mountains in sight. Ghalib was extremely accommodating and welcoming. His wife prepared is a delicious a dinner. Breakfast was great too! Stayed here for a night and it’s such a beautiful experience!

Sightseeing tours are available nearby. With an outdoor fireplace and a picnic area, this campground offers ample opportunities to relax. The staff were amazingly welcoming, especially the main host - he even played guitar for us after dinner! Big thank you to the whole team, we had a wonderful nights stay.

The Bedouin Camp offers private tents with carpeted floors and wrought-iron beds. The camp has separate shower and toilet facilities for men and women, with hot water for showers.

Breakfast and Dinner is served in the Resaturant. In the evening guests can sit around the campfire and enjoy the glow of lanterns on the rocks in the desert moonlight, or drink tea in the traditional beit shaar tents.
