Cabins were neat and clean, and there was lots for the kids to do.
Had a lovely Chinese birthday dinner at RSL. Great variety and service.
Lunched at couple coffee shops,
Saw Woolies and Aldi, even though we did not need them.
Booked for luncheon cruise to Metung, but had to cancel - VERY sad about that. That is a MUST do while there. Easy walking around when weather is good.

Lakes Entrance is a lovely place to visit.
Lakes Entrance is a lovely place to visit. I prefer out of season myself as I am older and on my own and it is quieter at that time. Great eating at the Central Hotel and the nearby coffee shop. (Bloody Good Coffee). There are lovely beaches and plenty of things for families riding tracks and mini golf. I enjoyed the boat cruises with Peels Cruises. The 70k was wonderful and then the lunch at Metung never disappoints. I think they are good value too. A good supermarket and other small shops. There is also lots to visit around the area and not far from Bairnsdale.
Well worth a visit........ weather is also surprisingly good all year round.

We were using Lakes Entrance as a stopover on our way to Sydney.
Very pleased with the area.
It was easy to walk around and had a good array of eating establishments - we had Fish and Chips from one of the local shops. the flathead was fresh and well cooked and the owners were very polite.
This is the case with most places.
Kudos to the Visitor Information Centre and the lady who served us

Lakes Entrance is a lovely small beach town.
Lakes Entrance is a lovely small beach town. We were glad to see that it hasn’t become built up like other popular coastal areas. There are a few good options for food. The beach is beautiful and the coastline goes on for ages allowing you to have really lovely and Long Beach walks. There are heaps of opportunities for nature walks and a nice winery nearby. Highly recommend for a short trip!

There is heaps to do in nice weather with plenty of eateries and cafes. Beaches are great and theres many points of interest within a short enough drive of the main town such as Buchan Caves and the Metung Hot Springs and the old Stoney Creek Trestle Bridge is worth a look too. Its a very scenic place with walks aplenty and fisherman are spoilt for choice with or without a boat.
Excellent value for the price we paid. Bed was really comfortable. Reception very friendly & helpful. Check in & check out were quick & easy. Everything was clean. Generous supply of tea/coffee etc. sachets. The swimming pool looked inviting, but the weather was too cold during our stay for us to use it. We enjoyed walking to the Lakes Entrance shops, cafes, restaurants, beach etc. from this motel. We also appreciated the view of the parkland & water across from the hotel. Good sized fridge for a motel room.
Those views !! It's an old house with some internal renovation, our first impression arriving after dark was so-so. But after waking the next morning and walking in to the main family room with it's jaw-dropping views, our impression of the place was so much better. So whilst the house itself wouldn't rank highly elsewhere (it's OK, nothing more), here on the top of the hill the overall package is a winner and we'd defintely stay again. Did I mention the views?
Comfortable cabin with all necessary facilities. Friendly, family run park, couldn't fault it. A great feature is an enclosed space at the front of the cabin where we could sit outside with our puppy which was safely contained in our own little fenced garden area. We could let the dog just outside without worrying that she could escape. Nice touch in a pet friendly park. We highly recommend this as a great place to stay.
The Cunningham Motel was such a welcome stop. Friendly service and a great location. We had some great advice to go for a walk just over the road to the Lakes entrance and it was a really beautiful time for our family. The room was very clean and had more than enough space for the 5 of us. The friendly owner even cleaned our very dirty windscreens from our road trip before we left in the morning.
Perfect place to stay when visiting Lakes Entrance. A few kilometres from town but in a lovely quiet bush setting. Our self-contained 2 bedroom cottage was perfect. Each bedroom had it's own well appointed bathroom and opened to a lounge/kitchen with a cosy wood fire. Our hosts made us feel at home and everything was provided.
The location was good near to the lakes entrance main location.
Best part was we were late than expected and were travelling with a group.
We called them and they made sure that the room heaters are on so that by the time we reach its all warm for us and comfortable. The stay was good and we enjoyed. Thanks to the team.
Excellent pet friendly bed and breakfast, super comfy bed, very clean, nice breakfast, short drive to the beach and restaurants. Our dog was a bit grumpy by the time we reached the place (as we had been travelling for a full month), but Sheree was very understanding and accomodating which we really appreciated.
I loved my stay at The Wheelhouse. The unit itself was very comfortable, clean and felt like a home away from home. I only wish I could have stayed longer! The hosts provided us with some lovely goodies for our stay and when I had questions were only too pleased to help me. Thankyou!!!
It was value for money, the unit had the essentials for a beach holiday. The unit was clean, windows shone. two couches were very comfortable and the table was big enough for our family. The swimming pool was a great bonus for my grand daughter and we swam every day.
This room was nice and a comfortable size. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was a good size and the water temp/pressure was good. We had a nice view also. The hotel was close to shops, cafes and the water. Parking was undercover.
Location is slightly away from the main area in Lakes Entrance. However, the park is very easy to find and access. The motel room is an individual small house. Very nice & quiet. For the $$$ per night, this place is bargain.
Old style motel, but clean (most important) and comfortable. No additional facilities provided, only room. Convenient to get to the centre of Lakes Entrance, without being in the middle of everything.
Ok the Bamboo Motor Inn isn’t a 5 star Hilton hotel. This is now the third time I’ve stayed here. Wendy is a lovely lady whom runs the place. Clean, tidy and is a great location! Will stay again.
Good set up with outdoor area but we didn’t realise that for 9 people we were in the house and the unit which did separate us. On the photos shown we thought it was a five bedroom house.
A 3.5 star hotel with 5 star manager. Room was thoughtfully presented just the way she would like to travel. And that is first class. Thanks for your caring extras.
